For Vanishing Point’s 1st birthday at Patterns, we’re excited to bring both man of the moment and label of the moment to join the party – Denis Sulta and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams.
It’s been a fantastic first year at Patterns for Vanishing Point, with brilliant sets from Optimo, Ivan Smagghe, Michael Mayer, Krystal Klear and Justin Robertson.
But they don’t come much hotter than Denis Sulta who was chosen as the one to watch in 2016 by pretty much every publication and tastemaker around. His own releases, including ‘It’s Only Real’ on Numbers and ‘La Ruffgarden EP’ on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, have been the guaranteed floor-fillers for many a top selector, and his DJ sets are just as impressive – as shown by his sweat-soaked 2015 Boiler Room set from Glasgow’s legendary Sub Club.
Joining Denis Sulta will be Dixon Avenue Basement Jams head honchos, Dan Monox and The Wasp.
Dixon Avenue Basement Jams is one of the most exciting and consistent house and techno labels around. This was cemented by the label’s win in the ‘Best Breakthrough Label’ category in the DJ Mag ‘Best of British Awards’, at the end of 2015. Each sell-out record has been an essential part of many respected spinners’ sets, with releases from acclaimed underground names such as Marquis Hawkes, Denis Sulta, Modini, and Jared Wilson.
Upstairs, our mission to bring you top talent you might not have heard of continues as our residents, Teamy & Matthew Balaam, are joined by Frank Mitchell (https://soundcloud.com/frank_mitchell) - Frank is one of our favourite DJs with a huge love of italo, techno and early house; a proper party starter with infectious energy.
