I went on a couple 18 - 30's cos they were the cheapest deal . We were in Turkey n Greece tho . If your goin to Ibiza for a big pissup then some of em could be a laugh , if u goin to see some specific dj's / go clubbin n chill on the beach durin the day I wouldnt bother

Assuming you're on here becuase you're more clued into clubbing... then don't.

They can be good for 'meeting new people' out on the piss. :?

Don't buy club tickets from the Reps either.

dont buy the packagae from the reps it was the biggest waste of my money last year didnt use nething apart from the booze cruise and that wasnt any good. im headin out with 18-30 bt wnt ber buyin the packages

If you decide not to go on any of the trips prior to the holiday, try to avoid the Welcome meeting if possible.

Been on 4 18-30 trips (Kavos, Gran Can and Ibiza twice!)

My advice would be..

Avoid the welcome meeting

Talk to the reps (they are doin there jobs after all) but don't but any excursions, DONT buy ANY club tickets!

You booked a hotel, treat it like one!

I went with 18-30 the first time I went Ibiza in 2003, stayed in Cetral City too.

Aint about 18-30's, they just harrass you all the time to sign up for their ****ty trips, come knocking on your door at 10am every morning. We just told em to leave us alone, so they did

choice is yours, in went on one in 2001 to san an, didnt get involved with them tbh, we booked coz is was cheap and last minute, but had a great time none the less!!!

I went with them in 97,98 and our group did the excursions, they were slightly expensive for what they were but we had great laugh on them . There was only 4-5 spread over two weeks and most of em finish at 12midnight so plenty of time to go clubbing. They were cheesy as **** like, but we were young and foolish! I think they're geared up more towards the clubbing side of things now and from what ive heard a bit of a rip off for the tickets.

if its a cheaper hol (flight & accom) use it. and when you get there, bugger off and do what YOU wanna do.

reps will always try and get you on their excursions... they have to make money anyway they can! ;)

this is why i love forums.

what kind of advice is "don't"???

knowing robder as i do the first thing i would do is book up for a full week of trips!

i've never been on one but i assume the 18 -30's trips are designed for people that go on 18-30's holidays. i believe that for most of them you could organise it yourself for cheaper but then if you don't want the hassle, book a trip where you'll probably be with 'like minded people' and have loads of (organised) fun.

or if you don't want to bother hiring a car and want to be collected and go on some island excursions have a look at

http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/panorama/

where you can book in advance from the comfort of your own home so you don't have to factor excusrsion costs into your holiday budget......

i always used to do the 18-30's just because of the price...depends who you go with as to how much you get bothered by reps.

my advice is
avoid welcome meeting
explain to the reps the first day that you know all about the clubs and where you want to go and just explain that you only booked it because of the price and you would appreciate it if they didnt try and drag you out of bed every day at 8 am

ive found that once they realise your not going to part with your hard earned to line thier pockets they tend to leave you to your own devices

unless you want to go on thier excursions and spend your entire holiday going to eden and es paradis.

but i will never say dont

we went on one a few years back

they do push their events at the welcome meeting but that how they make their commission so its expected
just politely refuse if you don't wanna go - it may take a couple of refusals but they do get the message

we did get the knock on the door a couple of times - but they stopped this when we asked

the rep also came by to try to flog Reunion style event tickets - we listened but refused

one cautionary tale - our room was a disaster in this particular apts - we asked for various things to get sorted which never did - we attribute that to the non-participation in their program.

Just remember that altho it was annoying etc - its how these reps make their dosh so i wouldn't give them too much of a hard time

We agreed to go on one last year - even though our hotel wasnt 18-30s but our particular rep had a dabble in most of the parties/ticket sales etc.

We did every other night our own way and kept it that way - dont get me wrong agreeing to it made sure we got a coach to Amnesia which was good considering how much we were spending on cabs - but we hated the rest of it. Just a bunch of pi55ed up idiots including people from the same home town as us who hated house music and loved garage. Begged the question to be asked "why did you come Ibiza then?"

And at 23 we felt very old while they were all on the coach singing songs about all kinds of bum antics (and no Im not a prude)

Just my opinion.
