Alrite everyone.
My first 18-30 holiday and just wondering what the reps are like? I've had some people tell me that they can be pushy. That won't be a major problem on the nights, but during some days i just want to relax and get a tan.

We went with 18-30's 3 years ago. More out of convenience that anything else.

They say you have to attend the welcome meeting to get your ticket for your flight home validated. It is utter tripe. They take your ticket off you and keep hold of it while they try to persuade you to go on their trips.

The trips are crap and not real value for money. They often boat all you can drink but in reality its weak punch they give you or the bar will have huge queues. I also found the reps werent exactly helpful, they were certainly more interested in the girls and selling you trips.
 
To be honest i'd be happier if they did leave me to it. The only reason we went 18-30 is because it was the cheapest two weeks, otherwise we would have gone with someone else. So basically you attend the welcome meeting then you can get on with what you want to? We went to Ibiza for a week to years back and it was wicked, didn't want to be pressured by reps on this one though.

my mates and i have used a few different companies over the years, we got around the whole thing by saying to the reps we'd do all their events in the second week of the holiday...by the time the second week came around the reps hadnt seen us at all the 1st week and pretty much forgot about us..:) of course it also helps to pretend to be asleep when they come knocking.
 
Chances are i will actually be asleep anyway lol. Yeah wont bother with the welcome meeting then. I've heard a few bad things about my hotel already aswell lol, so thats going to be fun.

Went with 18-30 a few years ago - Central City.
Went to welcome meeting only because they came & got us! Said we weren't interested in any of their trips to which the Rep asked then why did you book 18-30? Coz it was cheap!! After that we got left alone. No organised games round the pool either which was a bonus!
 
i went into a welcome meeting with the freestyle lot last year absolutely dying with a hangover. this jumped up shouty little girl was banging on our room telling us to wake up. even politely telling her to eff off didnt help, i got told i was being rude! i went down more out of curiosity than anything else. i then sat there and watched a ridiculously bad pantomime they'd put on to try and sell us stuff. lots of shouting. lots of whooping. and lots of excited young things throwing themselves at them with cash to take them to all the wrong places on the island. dont go to the welcome meeting.
 
ive been 18-30, escapades, freestyle to various places, and to be honest, some of the stuff is a laugh!

just dont take yourself too seriously and you might even enjoy it.

It depends what you're after really, if you wanna get laid, go on their trips cos the bar crawls are dripping with girls on holiday out for all they can get.

Thats the only one id do though, the boat trips arent the best, but i used them as a way to get me up and through the hangover. The first hour or so is hell as you're knackered and warm lager is the last thing you want, after a few hours and hair of the dog though it becomes quite funny!

Its all relative though, if you want to meet lots of people interested in getting trollied, go, and enjoy it. If you dont, then dont go! easy really!

I would do the bar crawl as its a cheap night out, and only do the boat trip if you want an all day drinking thingy...

Avoid all the others, like that pony cabaret show or whatever it is...
 
I've alway's followed the belief that the best holiday's are those you organize yourselve's & not have them organize'd for you!!! However i doubt if anyone would agree with me, on this one?

I've used 18-30 just for the cheap digs - When I first arrived, I told the rep I worked for 18-30 and that she was not to bang on the door the next day for welcome meeting as I would report her to her boss for harrassing customers - I also informed her that she would not see us for the entire holiday and asked for my return tickets there and then.....

She stood there gobsmacked, said, oh, so that's why you didn't come to the hotel on the bus, you must be one of the 18-30 club spies... to which I nodded....and said, I shouldn't have told you that, just make sure the team are on their best behaviour this week.....from that point on, I was treated like royalty :lol:

Im Going Again To Stay In Same Placein 3 Weeks Time, And Were Thinking Of Goin On The Trips. Any1got Any Feedback On Whattrips There Arefrom Casitablanca Reps And What They R Like, Rough Prices??
 
hi i was at the central city for 2 weeks from 5 july 2006.
it was with 18-30's and we only bought 3 of the trips, but to be fair the trips were ace! i got to meet some of bloc party! i recon its the best way to meet people from your hotel. The reps weren't pushy at all and you dont have to get up dead early for the welcome meeting, they come up to your room in the afternoon/tea time ish. if they come to your room it is harder to say no but if you have a good look whats on offer i recon you'd pick at least one trip. its about 300 euros for one weeks full package thingy which we thought was expensive, but the amount u spend on a night out probs works out a little bit more even.

all in all the reps were cool except one or two of the girl ones who had a bit of an attitude, and the lad rep who told us we were getting evicted!! forgave him eventually tho lol. :spank:

i will deffo be back to ibiza next year and would defo travel with 18-30s again. we're even thinking of coming out to work in may 07 for a couple of months

yeah they werent too bad..
we fell for it hook line and sinker for about 2 mins then he pssed himself laughing and then tried to sell us the big weekender!
wrong way to peddle your wares matey!!!
