Hi all, i came back from my 7th trip two weeks ago, i think it's the time to write a full review i would like to upload some photos, but it tells that they are too big...
I arrived on wednesday the 17th at midday with a direct ryanair flight from bologna, which had no delay. I had rented a car online with motoluis, and they delivered it at the airport: everything was ok, they were in time and the car was a brand new fiat panda (also the price was really cheap, only 25/day with all the insurances, thanks ibiza spotlight!). So i drove to san antonio, i was staying in hotel s'estanyol. The hotel was really good in general: only downside was the room, which was on the ground floor and with no view at all (while the majority of their room have sea view, but i think it was like this because i had a single room). The first afternoon i went to cala conta, beautiful (and full of fish, for those who are into snorkeling) as ever, and i stayed till the sunset. This year i planned not to hit the big clubs, because in the past years i made all the big nights, so i wanted to save a bit and hit as much free parties as possible. So the first night i went to sands for tini and the gang: the location and the crowd were ok, but i didn't enjoyed the music so much, IMO it was too repetitive. They closed at midnight, so i went to bora bora till 2 o'clock. Music was good, it's always a fun place! then i headed to the free tini after party at underground... it took a lot to find the place, but when i finally entered it was good, but i only stayed for an hour.
Thursday: in the morning i went to cala salada, beautiful even if there were waves. I explored around, i went to the extreme cliff on the right of the beach, there were stunning views. in the afternoon i went to cala bassa, it was so beautiful. i had dinner as early as possible (7pm) because i had to be into destino by 8 pm for dynamic outdoor... What a venue, and what a night! i really appreciated it, but i didn't go to tox for the after. i made a quick walk in ibiza port....
Friday: morning again cala conta. in the afternoon it was very cloudy, so i went to cala martina for a bit of windsurfing (once again, thanks ibiza spotlight for the advice). on my way back, i stopped for a quick walk in santa eulalia, which i didn't like much. at 6 pm i stopped in cala olivera near Rroca lisa... nice place, but it was too late and cold for a swim. after dinner i went to the party in talamanca for the 10 years of ibiza global radio... I liked it, and also the set by paco osuna was very good. after that, i headed to bora bora again, but i was in bed by 3 am i think.
Saturday: in the morning i went to cala tarida... nothing to say, it's amazing. In the afternoon i went to cala xuclà near portinatx, which i really liked. For those who like snorkeling, there is a small cave on the left, very interesting! i stopped also for an hour in cala xarraca, which was nice too. on my way back i stopped at puertas del cielo near santa agnes (thanks stivi), what a beautiful place! by 9 pm i was into ushuaia for ants... I really liked this party, especially when the action is not on the main stage (i think till around 10 pm). Ushuaia had its usual big production, and i also liked the music. after that i went to bora bora and then to ibiza for a quick walk in dalt vila
Sunday: in the morning i changed hotel because i found a cheaper room in hotel riviera, which was good too (only 38 euros per person all inclusive): my friend was coming on sunday evening. In the afternoon i went to cala conta.
After my friend arrived, we went to beachouse for guy gerber rumours. Nice place, nice music, nice crowd, it's definitly worth a visit. From now on, we only went to the most famous beaches and places, because it was the first time for my friend in ibiza. also, we mostly went to west end for the night, which i don't like much...
Monday: in the morning it was raining heavily, so we stayed at the hotel. In the afternoon it was cloudy too, so we went for a walk at torre des Savinar to see es Vedrà. I told my friend Atlantis was worth a visit (i went there three times), but he wasn't up for it. After dinner we hit the west end.
Tuesday: morning cala salada, afternoon cala bassa. In the evening, west end as usual.
Wednesday: in the morning cala conta again, then in the afternoon we stayed at the hotel due to heavy rain... By 10 pm we were at beachouse for sven's free party. I really enjoyed it, sven was playing some more "melodic" techno than his usual, i think it well suited the place and the crowd. after that again west end.
Thursday: cala tarida both for the morning and for the afternoon... I only regret we missed carl cox's party at sands... Next year! in the evening west end...
Friday: we had our flight back home at midday... So sad!
I really enjoyed ibiza, this time i had the car (and not the scooter) so i could explore more of the island... I really recommend hiring a car! a little tip: beware the autovelox on the main road between San Antonio and Ibiza and on the road that goes from San Antonio to Sant Agusti...
