16th-22nd September... my holiday.

There were 2 of us on this holiday, myself and my mate Pirrie.

Sunday-

We flew out of Glasgow at 0020 on Sunday 16th. Straight from the start the chavs were annoying us. In the airport, at the airport bar, on the plane - constantly singing 'here we here we here we f**king go' , 'eddie , eddie , eddie fu**ing halliwell' etc etc. The plane was full of them. It was mind numbingly annoying. We exchanged mutually dissaproving looks with a couple sitting across from us Ed and Karlyn , they seemed to be as annoyed with the neds as us. After a ned filled transfer bus we arrived at our hotel , Central City apartments.
We had requested that we did not get a ground floor apartment. We were ofcourse put in to room 115 on the ground floor, with our balcony backing on to the street that leads down to Savannah. I complained about this but was told nothing could be done until the next day.
After a day of being passed from person to person we eventually got moved up a floor to room 216 at around 7pm. This was crap as we wanted to be in Bora Bora by this time.
Got a taxi to Bora Bora around 8 and the place was really going off. Spotted Spiderman. We had a few drinks then went to Space. What a night, shame we missed most of the day but it was amazing. Caught Nic Fanculli and James Zabiela who both played blinders. Went home around 530am. The chavs kept us awake for a while with constant singing and door banging.

Monday-

The plan was to go to DC-10. We got up at 1130 and got ourselves down to the bus station and bussed it over to Playa Den Bossa. This took longer than expected and at 2pm we went to Bora Bora for a quick beer. We knew that we wanted to leave DC-10 around 4 to get back in plenty of time for Emma's birthday bash, so we'd only have around 2 hours in DC-10. We decided no ditch DC-10. We had lunch at Bora Bora then got a taxi back to San An to grab a few hours kip. Got up at 630pm and down to Pink Panther. Everone we met was really cool and Sue's jug were tasty indeed.
A bunch of us went to El Divino and we partied the night away with some fellow spotlighters. A good time was had by all. We left around 530am and taxied back to San An.

Tuesday-

This was the start of the downward spiral. When we arrived back from El Divino we sat up and got plastered through til lunchtime. Staggered down to Cafe Mambo and had lunch then went and purchased tickets for Danny Tenaglia @ Space. Crashed out for a few hours, got up at 6 then went and bought some beers. We sat down at the beach and watched the sunset. We were very hungover and tired but soldiered on. Got talking to 2 guys from Swansea who were cool and going to Space too so we all got a taxi over to Space.Kicked about with then most of the night but lost them later. Also bumped in to Ed and Karlyn.Had an amazing night, tenaglia was awesome. We left around 530am.
Couldn't sleep when we got back to the apartments due to the neds shouting, singing and banging doors. Also my mate and I were very twitchy due to the abuse we had put our bodys through.

Wednesday-

We got up around 6. None of us ad really slept, too warm and too twitchy. Went to Davids and had dinner, was the best pizza I've ever had. We grabbed some beers and went down to the beach. The extent of our 'hangovers' was now catching up on us and at around 9pm we decided to call it a night. We had tickets for Meganite but just couldn't face it. Back to the apartments, earplugs in and had a broken night of shorts sleeps and twitching.

Thursday -

Got up around 4 I think and we had some dinner. We were on a bit of a mission to make up for missing the night before so we were in good spirits. As we had already seen a couple of sunsets we took a wander through the west end, even this early at night the place was starting to live up to it's bad reputation. Hit a few pubs and got the disco bus at 12 to Amnesia. Stayed in the main room till PvD came on then went in to the terrace until around 6 when we left. This was a great night, got very busy though.

This night was marred by a one of our chav friends. At around 2 when it was getting really busy someone bumped in to me and he dropped his drink. I turned round and it was some wee guy that was on our flight, basically your stereotypical chav. He stood there staring at me and in the interest of keeping the peace I offered to buy him another drink, even though it was him that bumped in to me and dropped his own drink. He said it doesn't matter shook my hand and walked away. Ten minutes later I went to the bar to get a drink and the chav was standing at the bar trying to pay for 2 vodkas with 25 euros, which was 5 euros short. The barmaid was shouting at him '30 EUROS' and he kept trying to give her 25 saying 'this is all i've got'. I put down the 5 euros and he got his drinks. He turned to me and said ' what the f*ck you doing?' I said ' grow up mate' and walked away. Then I noticed him tapping all his mates on the shoulder and pointing at me. I made sure our paths didn't cross again. What a complete tosser, people like this shouldn't be allowed to go on holiday.

Friday-

Got up around 6. Went down to the beach for a few beers. Met Ed and Karlyn again. We had tickets for Azuli closing @ Space. Didn't make it though, felt too bad. Went to Davids then to bed around 11. The neds in our hotel were up until 7am, kept us awake all night, constant singing , shouting, door banging etc. They were right next door to us and it went on all night, even banging our door a few times. I can't describe how angry and annoyed we were by them. I didn't get any sleep at all.Suppose that's what we get for booking through Club 18-30 but . Never again.

Saturday -

Checked our our hotel at 11am. Had breakfast and then went to Savannahs where we sprawled out on the big couches and had some beers. It was our last day in Ibiza and I was in a really **** mood after the previous night of no sleep. At around 4 Ed and Karyln turned up and we hatched a plan to go over to Bora Bora and spend our last day there.
Got there around 630 and it was totally jumping.Spiderman was there. It felt a bit surreal, got a picture with him. So glad we went over to Bora Bora , I was sick of the site of San Antonio and all the chavs / beerboys. We all had some dinner around 10pm then went to the airport. Our flight wasn't until 5am so we found a quiet corner of the terminal and chilled out. The flight home had all the same neds from the hotel and it made my skin crawl to even listen to their voices in the que for check in.

And that's it. I had an amazing time, met some really cool peple and I will definatly go back, but not to San Antonio. I won't be buying any tickets in advance either as we were offered free wristbands for most of the nights we had tickets for. And so much for the guestlist entrance, the guestlist entrance que was bigger than the other ques most nights.

San Antonio was riddled with neds, I hated it. I was like being at home. I'm sure it has a lot more to offer which I didn't see but the chavs just annoyed me too much.

We didn't get round to hiring a car and seeing a bit of the island, mainly because we tried to fit in more partying than we could handle in 6 days. But also the roads over there are a bit crazy. Most of the cars on the road have accident damage and we seen a couple of crashes. On the way back from Space there was a jeep on its roof in the middle of a roundabout, it had just happened as we watched the guy climb out and try to push the jeep back on to its wheels. Also saw a car drive into a lamp post in Playa Den Bossa and various other small incidents.

Good review mate (mine is on it's way) sorry to hear about the trouble with the chavs/neds you can do without that crap, we made a conscious decision not to stay in San An because of them there appears to be lots of them over that side of the island unfortunately, Playa D'en Bossa is a far better place to stay, and yeah Monday in MN2S was excellent.:)

i'm occasionally accused of having a strange sense of humour so forgive me for finding your 'did i spill your pint?' episode one of the funniest i've ever read.

Great review mate, I feel you pain, I had to fly out from Dublin in July with a plane full of drunken Irish chavs

Nice review, luckily it's been a few years since I've experienced a bad flight like that!

Our hotel sounds similar to yours this year except the chav brigade were in force all day and night, how they managed to drink so constantly is beyond me!

I didn't see much agro in San An at night (maybe I was lucky!) but in the daytime it was crazy, we went to watch a football match at about 13:30 and the place was full of chavs, beer boys, hen nights (or days) and stag parties! We went back to sunbathe after the game and then went back down the west end about 6ish to get some cash and they were all still going strong, drinking, shouting and singing there heads off - how they made it out at night I'll never know!
