After receiving an unexpected bonus at work, I have totally paid off the credit card balance I've been building up (and carrying over) for the past couple of years. Combined with the fact that I paid off the last of my student loans a couple of months ago (completing a long 11-year process!), that means I am now 100% Debt Free for the first time since university! :D :D :D

Happy day in Morbyd land.

Congrats Morbyd! That's a great feeling and I too hate having debts to anyone, anywhere!
So, does that mean we can expect you to splurge big time in Ibiza in 2006???
Do you know your dates yet?
 
It is a great feeling. The sad thing is, where the credit card is concerned, there's no reason I couldn't have done it earlier or that I needed to carry that balance on my card. Just haven't had the discipline to forego the extras for a month and pay it down.

As for Ibiza, we'll probably be there the same dates we usually go - Jun 15-26 or thereabouts - for the opening parties. I'm not sure about a September trip yet... that'd probably get decided last-minute.

Gotta dig out of it, mate. That's no way to live. For me, it was every month trying to figure out how much of the paycheck I could devote to paying down the credit card without cramping your style... glad it's over :lol:

Nice work there, Morbyd!!! I am still in the process, but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping to be debt free in 3 years or so.
