Town planning
Sant Josep Town Council has refused so far this year eight licenses to build housing in protected areas of the municipality. :)

The licenses were for housing construction with large pool, and in some cases also with tennis court and outbuildings, reported by the consistory said in a statement.

The licenses were submitted to build in protected spaces in sa Caleta, ses Salines, sa Serra Grossa, Cala Vedella, Can Fita, Rafael Trobat and Puig Cardona.

The denial of the license has been agreed on the basis of Decree Law 1/2016 of Planning and Land Use (Lous) of 12 January 2016 on urgent measures in urban, which provides full protection of the Natural Areas of Special interest (ANEIS) by unbuildable consider.

The legislation also provides that those become ineffective license applications three months prior to ANEI areas.

The Town Planning, Angel Luis Guerrero, said that these legislative measures should allow "to end this territorial greed and destruction."
"It is not our model, but the PP. We believe that these areas should be protected," he added.

Unlicensed
Sant Josep stop Bora Bora using the terrace as a discoteca
Local police found that the establishment used as a party room as an approved zone only restaurant

Sant Josep Town Council last week ordered the suspension of the activity as a nightclub in the open area of the establishment of Bora Bora Platja d'en Bossa, ie, on the terrace.
Councillor of the Interior, Paquita Ribas, said the Bora Bora is licensed to operate as a nightclub on the deck of the property. However, on the terrace of the license is available only restaurant.

Ribas reported that the local police made "a routine inspection of all premises Platja d'en Bossa" in which agents found that this place in particular worked as a nightclub in the restaurant area.

Once the City Council received the police report, it was decided to adopt "precautionary measure to suspend the activity in the open area disco 'local, said the councilor.

The City of Sant Josep given within 48 hours makers Bora Bora to bow to this injunction, 'and they did, "said Ribas. Bora Bora A spokesman said yesterday that the company did not want to comment on the municipal decision.

"We are working so that everything is done according to the law [in the town of Sant Josep] and we have no preference for anyone, just want things done right and that the municipality work," Ribas said.

The councilor stressed that the Bora Bora nightclub can function as an indoor area that is licensed to do so, but you can not do in the terrace area.

Here the local becomes a restaurant, as it marks the municipal license, and although it has the right to play music, can not become a nightclub, remarked Paquita Ribas.

Some years ago I remember the dj playing music inside the room and there were some speakers pointing outside so there was music outside and peole dancing
Two years ago they made a dj booth between the terrace a the room so the dj could play looking at each side
I think it was last year when they almost built a scenario in the terrace that looked as a small concert.
So... they have restaurant license for the terrace (and pay taxes accordingly) but year over year have been going one step ahead making it a bigger party.
At the same time Jet apartments and the ones beside them have been making bigger parties with bigger sound systems over the year.
So... its not a surprise local council is reviewing licenses and activities

The music from Tiare bar next door has gotten louder and louder over the past years, and for the most part really bad edm music! At least Bora Bora has good music, will be a matter of time being the same happens to Jet and Tiare, hey once that is done it will make Jet apartments a pleasant place to stay!!
