talking about the west end, it was in the news once again at the beginning of the week because there was a video doing the rounds on FB (which has now been removed) filmed in the terrace of a bar where a group of tourists were openly snorting coke while the waitress was doing nothing about it. the authorities are investigating it...

McR, do you know whether that will also include places like gas stations?
 
the whole point is to have people drinking indoors instead of in the street... whether that will actually work or not is a different story!
 
well, what actually happened the last years is that more 24-hours shops opened thanks to the permissiveness of the PP... last year was a summer of transition for the new governement (the elections were at the end of may so there was no time to introduce certain changes) but for this one they'll be able to have it ready!
 
In Ireland you can't by drink in shops,supermarkets or off licence ect between 10pm-1030am and - 1230pm on Sunday. And that really stops people drinking outside over here:rolleyes:. Its done to get people back into the bars no other reason. .it wont work. We all know most bars a shite and better fun on your balcony.
