Circo Loco @ DC10 2023 - Reviews & Reports

Mochakk was OK in the garden last night. A bit too percussion heavy for that time IMHO. Konstantin played a solid warm up. No real variation in style or between tracks, but was fine to get the place going. Then &Me and Rampa were on fantastic form I thought. A real blistering set with huge highs - I loved it.

Absolutely rammed and a lot of jostling about and people moving around. I think the whole place was busier than when I was there for the Anniversary in July which was surprising.

But - I've never seen so many people just standing around in the middle of the dancefloor. Loads of people not dancing - just standing chatting as if they were in the middle of a bar or outside in the garden. Very weird and so annoying for those of us who actually wanted to dance. And a bit of attitude from some too if anyone bumped into them when dancing. I didn't pick up on that last time at all. I had a great night though - &Me and Rampa were my main reason for going and they didn't disappoint. They know how to push that DC10 sound system too.

Finally getting round to reviewing last Monday.
I agree with the above comment about Mochakk. While he was better than the previous djs i saw closing the garden in June, but I wasn't blown away by him. I felt that rather than a closing set, it was more a warm up for something else. I realise it's still early in the night but I hoped djs would treat that slot more like a closing set.

&me rampa were on fire as was said, also really enjoyed DJ Boring. Great energetic bouncy techno. DJ Tennis finished things of in style with his typical chugging house.

In terms of the crowd, I actually think it was one of the quieter circo locos I've been to which was great. I found room to dance even in peak time terrace. Also for DJ Boring in main room.

I thought Mochakk set was good enough for the garden, his usual bouncy style.
I got s bit bored during Konstantin but &me and Rampa soon brought things back in order.
Stayed for a bit of Blond:ish set too which I also quite enjoyed.
Ended alternating between DJ Tennis and Agents of Times to close one of my most enjoyable Circoloco mainly due to the fact that it wasn''t overcrowded like the usual standards albeit still very busy.
A curious note, the constant stream of people getting escorted out by the bouncers for being caught in the "action" 🤣 you would've though people will know by now of their constant patrolling of the dancefloor.

Yes, this baffled me a lot this year. Amateur hour in some cases. Total misconception that anything goes inside DC10. It doesn’t and they probably the most strict of all places.

Comedy gold watching the dumbfounded faces of people being ‘taxed’ on the dancefloor there - it’s such common knowledge who surely doesn’t know this by now? 🤣

DC10 Circoloco was crazy oversold yesterday, it was already quite busy in the garden during Enzo Sirugasa but getting into Terrace was impossible. Left before midnight unfortunately.
This keeps on happening and nobody (authorities) seem to care nor do anything about it :(

The 2 rooms are just too small. Would there be a reason why they’ve not put hands in pocket and made the place bigger. Subject to authorities letting them do so surely it wouldn’t be that difficult.

I just don't understand why they are not spreading out the bigger DJs over the two floors better. Last Monday they had all the big names following each other on the sardines-terrace while the main room had the lesser known DJs like Garda or Kettama. Why not have Loco Dice on at the same time as Seth, and Luciano during Janson or Siragusa. It would divide the punters more and tbh I don't much care for them playing b2b, just leave me room to breathe

Absolutely stunning day leading up to the closing last Monday. Went for a swim and morning coffee at Cala Bonita, then some pan con tomate, jamon iberico, pulpo ala gallega and paella at Es Torrent. Changed and had drinks at the hotel then took a taxi.

Must have arrived at around 21.30h. So much police outside. Never noticed the 3 times I went before. Stacked card. Adriatique in the garden, fine to get a drink and move around a bit. It was busy already but not packed. Adam Port opening with signature Middle Eastern track and played well. Newer and classic tracks (e.g. Body Language by Booka Shade). Went inside to the terrace at like 22.45h to claim a spot. Already crowded when Ame started playing. Music was crazy loud in the beginning. Luckily they turned it down a notch a short while after.
&Me and Rampa taking over from Bedouin. The floor was packed. Couldn’t move and a lot of pushing. Temperature was OK. V humid. When I went outside to get some air, garden was still busy as well. How do they let this many people in? All of that being said; wow what an experience. Played banger after banger. Love their style. Absolutely buzzed for Keinemusik their new release Cezar Nmina to come out.
Anotr took over. Played as expected. They’re great and bring the right energy. Surely everyone was waiting for them to play their anthem Relax My Eyes and they did. During the evening I was surprised by how, with every drop, so many people put their phone up. Half of them with flash on. But this was extreme.
Seth Troxler was seen dancing in the booth for about 45 minutes already and then came on to close. It had gotten less busy with more space to move. Really got the room going by playing The Bomb by Bucketheads at the start. Wouldn’t listen to it myself but it hit so well here. Saw people jumping around. Played Terrence’s Parker’s Love’s Got Me High and highlight of the evening was definitely when he dropped 4 You by 4th Measure Men. Hugh tune. Grande Troxler!

Amazing night all in all. Really happy we went. DC10 is a cool spot but vibe is lot different than when I went for the first time in 2013. Looking forward to try Cova Santa or Ibiza Underground next year. Met some fun people we’ll hopefully see at ADE next week.
