World's wildest police videos

Does anyone watch this? I think it's hilarious. Never fails to crack me up how psychotic Yank cops can be. Especially the Yank cop presenter. His quotes are simply legendary. In fact, he is the new superhero for the 21st Century. The fake orange tan, the perfect teeth, the slick hair. The man's a living legend. My favourite:
"These two joyriders stole a car to have a GOOD time.....instead, they end up doing HARD time!"
and
"any car chase is dangerous. but when you're in a chase going down the wrong side of the freeway at 100 miles per hour, then it's REALLY dangerous"

Brilliant.

It's a top programme, "...And when the cops caught up with them - they blew the heads off those crazy kids - you can safely say they won't be causing trouble behind the wheel - anymore" :D Class TV

I only watch them if there's absolutely nothing else worth watching.

Then after those come the GOD and dating channels (for amusement factor only that is)

That guy that presents these programmes is just like Troy Mclure, u may have seen me in such programmes as ''how not to drive a car'' or ''when good driving goes wrong''

LEGEND!

john bunnell he even has his ownfan club you know

He's like the stereotypical 'asshole' cop who couldn't give a 'rat's ass' about civil liberty, as long as people abide by the law. I love his justification of completely insane acts by the po-lice, like shooting out a guys tyres when hes on a public road doing over 100mph
'This crazed driver will stop at NOTHING, and police officers have to bring this chase to an end, before any innocent civilians get HURT'
I love the fake sound effects as well, and its the same guys voice in the helicopter every time! Are we really expected to believe that this guy works in chopper support all over the US?
Its got the biggest parody appeal of any programme i know.

I used to occasionally catch this show on cable when I lived in Kazakhstan. At the time, I wondered "if they're showing this dribble overseas, what kind of impression do shows like this give foreigners about the United States?"

You have all answered my question.

Do you know Borat?

Sasha Cohen's portrayal is not really close (and he doesn't look at all Kazakh) but every once in a while he gets some little nuance just right. We're convinced he's got someone who helps him out with that act.

I remember when he started it (while I was still living out there) and the Kazakh embassy in the UK lodged an official diplomatic complaint. We couldn't stop laughing for hours.

Yeah, sorry, not the most original thing to type. :(

Exactly. I can't stand it because it's makes all us Yanks seem like YEE HAAA ignorant Right-wing gun-totin' rodent-eating Ford-truck-driving sister-dating three-tooth beer-drinkin' Rednecks with a .50 cal rifle in their trunk. As for some of the moves the cops do, I am not going to tell them what to do, something like one in ten car chases end in a fatality and anything they could do to stop it prematurely is allright with me; although the PIT manuver is overused and very dangerous.

Have you seen some of the British versions? I think they are so funny, Brit cops are soo polite, "..Erm please sir, would you mind pulling over...oh yes and could you also put that gun down? It's not very polite" - Bless em! The Yanks would piss themselves!

Actually I have. They are great. One episode of Police! Camera! Action! had a Georgia State Police chase with GSHP Ford Mustang 5.0's doing a PIT on some Escort or something like that and Alistair Stewart (I think that's his name) said something along the line of "English constables would use a bit more discretion"

Don't suppose you saw the episode of Police Camera Action! when that mini got pulled over on the motorway full of students - turned out they had bought it earlier that day for a fiver. The copper pulled the door off without any effort - classic!

I try to watch it as much as I can. My favorite is when there was that Ferrari F40 that did 200 MPH on the M4- he was caught because he was taping himself the whole time and a cop got one of the tapes.

It's hard sometimes trying to understand through the English accents (I heard and Englishman say "It's not an English accent; it's hearing the English language the way it is suppost to be pronounced. You have the accent." ) and English words like bonnet, hard shoulder, boot, consumption and other stuff like that.
