Weekend Rundowns

Has no one done this yet?? Shall I start?

Friday - left work at lunchtime to start roadtrip to Leeds. Took forever to get out of London...eventually hit the M1 after two hours of crawling round the South Circular. Had a quiet night in with an old schoolfriend, wine and takeaway.

Saturday - meant to be meeting up with another old friend who's a notorious caner. Predictably she was still going from Friday night somewhere the other side of town and not really up for doing lunch. Went out for a mate's birthday who had hired the VIP room at a little club called Mook. Lots of fun dancing and chatting until it shut at the civilised hour of 2am. Back to my mate's house for a carry-on.

Sunday - Carry-on and watching football down the pub. Was a bit past it by this point and kept nodding off. Then long journey home to London.

My whole weekend consisted of football, eating lots, drinking wine, sleeping,gardening......bliss.

Next weekend

BTW HollyG how come you've not gone to Ibiza with Babs and Tom?

Decided on just the one trip this year in the end for my health, wealth and sanity! They got back today - got a text from Babs saying she feels like she needs to be on a life support machine.

Can't wait to read Bab's review 8O 8O

Friday was Sant Joan and I went out on friday with my two best mates, we went to the beach bars but the beaches were packed and there was so many petards and fireworks that it was a bit scary (we were in a funny state) so we get back to my friend's for lots of sillines and collapsed around 1 saturday morning. Managed to get home around 11 pm.
Sunday was all about beach, papers, nice food and sofa

Friday Night: Caught up on my zzzzz’s.

Saturday: Went to the range in the morning. Worked out in the afternoon, and then saw Kaskade at night. That is the last time I ever see play again. It was a total waste of time and money.:x

Sunday: Chilled out with friends in the morning. Washed my car…it needed one after being driven on a dirt road on Saturday. I went to Kava Lounge to see Mauricio Aviles. Ze dude was absolutely amazing.

Laguna, you didn't like Kaskade? I have heard nothing but good things about him.

Here is my rundown...

Friday: Out w/ a few friends for drinks and dinner
Saturday: Worked during the day, then out for a friends birthday to see Miguel Migs. He was amazing, the atmosphere was fun w/ it being "Pride Weekend" and all.
Sunday: Watched the Gay Pride Parade from outside my loft. It was really fun. Played golf in the afternoon w/ my Dad, Uncle, and little bro.

Kaskade is not normally my cup of tea but Saturday night was the straw that broke the camel's back. He is too fluffy for me unlike let's say Julius Papp or a Marques Wyatt or Jay-J. However, what sucks is that when he plays at a commercial venue like Belo he tends to go down the pooper really quickly. I have seen Kaskade play at smaller (yet truer) venues like Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, and he did not go the commercial route. The girls like him because of his fluffy/girly tunes and because he is decently good looking. And you get one girl in a club you have 3-4 guys following in.

The same thing happened when Miguel Migs played at Aubergine in SD. The crowd was there to look good and all that. Migs has been awesome when he has played at real house venues. From a vibe perspective, there are only 3 venues in SD that are the real deal with two more being half-way decent. The rest of the places are just garbage, even though they are very lucrative for the DJs and owners.

My weekend was dull dull dull!!!

Managed to fall out with my sister yet again!

I'm going for an interview for a weekend job at New Look tomorrow!:D

FRi: Went out for a pint with Phil to get over the disappointment of being dumped through illness for Felix - saw a man about a dog, then came home and watched the rest of Series 2's Lost - Sawyer just gets sexier and sexier - grrrrr!

Sun: Football.....

Fri: over to Mr Mark Sun for a few liveners then over to turnmills to see him play a great warm up set. props to Mr Sun indeed. left early
