Weekend Rundowns

I'm not normally home by this time on a Sunday so I'll make the most of it and start proceedings early

Fri - me and Tom hit the shops, Tom got soooo much stuff in Harrods, Harvey Nicks and Selfridges, all stuff that he'd seen a couple of weeks ago half price or less. I was stomping cos I didn't get anything but a spree in Top Shop and Miss Sixty meant I came away with a few bags. Then went out for dinner and quite a few wines. Also got news that my Grandads operation was a success, the cancer hasn't spread and they think they've caught it in time which was such a relief.

Sat - watched Live 8 all day and then headed to Ministry for 11. Thought the music was superb all night. Mark Knight kicked proceedings off, then Cassius who were boshing out French house at it's best. Then my man Jon Carter played an awesome set and was looking soooooooooooo fit, not fat, sweaty or funked much to Tom's disappointment Then Marc Hughes finished the night off in style-eeeeee Most random moment was this girl coming up to us who was the spitting image of Beckiboo, me and Tom must have been so that we thought it was actually her even tho we couldn't get our heads round the fact that the bloke she was with wasn't Jon She's having a random conversation with Tom and he's going 'Hi Bec, how was Live 8, where's Jon??', she must have thought we were complete nutters The night finished all to soon and we were the last to leave the Box and then realised it wasn't a Secretsundaze week so had to do the boring thing and go home Watched the last bit of Live 8 that we'd taped, said we were never going to listen to house music ever again and had a Jam, Pink Floyd, Pet Shops Boys sesh.

Sun - got a few hours kips and finishing the wkend off with a few roses.

my weekend started thurs night:

thurs: rob arrived about half 6, after missing the nottingham junction twice!! obv his mad week in ibiza took its toll!!! eventually got here after coming the complete opposite way that was planned, but due to good directions from moi, all went well. I fed and watered him and we just had a chilled night.

fri: pulled a sicky from work - didn't do much all day, at the risk of being spotted. Went to the cinema in the evening to see Mr & Mrs Smith - good film, tickeld me in places too!!

Sat: eventually made it into town for a shoppin trip, was highly successful so came home pleased with our purchases. Power nap time then food again. Eventually got out the house and into town for a lil dance. was an ok night for me but from ibiza to notts for rob - well need i say more . Just had to keep saying, this time next sat it will be much better with deep dish!

Sun - lazy day. rob cooked - was very nice. he just left and is currentyl trying to find his way home.

friday-as everyone knows i was drunk
saturday-saw war of the worlds ruddy good film dodgy ending,watched bit of live8 when i got back then made way up to london had a few beers in dust bar where the bouncers didnt take there eyes of us all night,must of been all them trips to the toilet caught up with mark sun before making way over to ministry was proper going off in there and lots of randomness going on with bottles of poppers going up my nose and being force fed pills from from all these spics and old skool ravers ,saw barbie and her mob in there night came to an abrupt end(a bit like war of the worlds)when my mate lost his wallet other than that class night

Friday: Went to Old Orleans and had my blackened chicken with peppers, green beans - yummy. Popped over into the cinema and saw war of the worlds, excellent film. Early night.

Saturday: 12pm colonic session, very interesting. Didnt feel the resuts until today when ive been walking around Birmingham today having to hold my jeans up , lost 5lbs and quite a few inches. I think its because ive been so bloated, she said i had a lot of wind .

My nearly passing out incident almost put me off but i think i'll do it again and remember to eat something before hand next time.

Popped into TK Maxx and Joey bought me a pair of Gucci shades and this gorgeous green smock type dress thats from a designer called Manoush that was originally £155 reduced to £24.99, shades were only £30 too reduced from £150.

As the HMV sale is on we bought a few dvd's to watch such as Team America, Father Ted, Spongebob so just went home and got into bed and watched Father Ted.

Today: Got up early and went to the gym, really worked hard.

Had a stroll around Birmingham and Joey bought me loads of other nice things for holiday, spoils me he does .

Had a healthy lunch in Selfridges and popped in to see my mom and my nan.

I actually logged on to check the spelling of a couple of place names for the project that's keeping me up all night, but I couldn't stay away from the forum, could I? Here goes:

Friday - Stayed home. That's right! I stayed home. Screwed around on the computer making some changes to the old website. Sent the wife out with the girls for a bit. Sipped a couple of beers. Totally chill.... because...

Saturday - Got up, got dressed and headed out mid-afternoon to meet up with some friends and head to the American Chamber of Commerce's annual Independence Day festival. Largest such party outside the US! Lots of greasy nasty food and copious amounts of cold beer. We were there for about 3-4 hours before drunkenly heading over to Live 8 Moscow (see review, sold separately). We sobered up fast dealing with the draconian security to get onto Basil's descent (the area between Red Sq & St. Basil's Cathedral and the river - no, the concert wasn't really on Red Sq as advertised ). Great show.

Didn't stop there. Home to freshen up for a bit and then off to Bar 30/7 for some drinks and cheesy retro dance tunes with a few friends. Home at 4ish and watched some more Live 8 on the tele before passing out.

Sunday - Worked on my website and my Ibiza film. Took a nice afternoon nap. Had to go to the computer store because the wife's laptop crashed and I thought it needed a new hard drive. However, when I got back, I tried one little trick I'd forgotten earlier and the old hard drive worked! That's ok... I think I'll put the new one in my laptop because, with 100 gigs, it's 20gigs bigger than mine. 8)

fri - quiet nite in with laura

sat - we took my mum & bro for lunch at the place Laura & i are getting married in next year.

at night, Laura had won tickets for Coldplay at Bellahouston Park. Made our way over there and sat in the park having a few beers watching Supergrass (tremendous greatest hits set) and then Coldplay - excellent concert.

was supposed to go home with laura and then head out to meet my brother but it took us ages to get back to our flat. Called him and he was already in town. Unfortunately by this time i was completely pissed so i couldn't possibly make it out - bro had to go home

Fri - Worked until late then watched Infernal Affairs 2 - excellent film.

Sat - Worked for 14 hours then went to mates house where some new neighbours (2 girls) were having a house warming. They'd hired a hot tub for their terrace which was cool. 8) Went out and got drunk then came back to mates at 3am to find a whole load of naked drunk girlies in the hot tub Thought it would be rude not to jump in too so much fun was had

Sun - Got home at 8:30am and slept until lunch then spent the afternoon in the garden at a nice country inn. Went to a mates and watched the Pianist which altough it's directed by Paedophile Polanski it's a really good, moving film.

Friday: Went to Pep's friend art exhibition, the cold white wine tasted like water but when we left the Gallery, me and my friend realised that it wasn't water and we were wrongly drunk before the sunset in the middle of Passeig de Gracia Pep and my friend's boyfriend took us to have some japaness but we drunk two more bottles of white wine, so the guys decided to take us to my friend's bar where we could do our drunken antics with no problems. Got home around 4 and realised that we were ment to go to a birthday do

Saturday: Pep was off for work, so spent most of the afternoon in the pool and didn't go out.

Sunday: Early sunbathing (I burn my shoulder ) and then met my friend Alex for a sunday tapa's lunch. Then in the evening went to a Birthday do in a very very cool bar up in one of the hills overlooking the city and saw a stunning sunset. Had a barbaqueu for dinner and few drinks and got home around 2

Friday: Dinner at home and a relatively early night.
Saturday: Up early to watch the rugby. The less said the better about that.
Lunch in Clapham at midday, a few bottles of wine and then over to B-Live on Clapham Common for 2.30pm. Hed Kandi, MOS and Baccardi tents were good all day and great atmosphere. Main stage was awful. how anyone can book Har mar Superstar for an event like that is beyond me.
I didnt stay for Oakenfold but apparently he played for about 45 mins and was pants. Glad I left early!
Drinks in Soho in the evening which was packed due to London Pride and then went to Heaven. Really good night. Resisted the temptation of Beyond in V______!
Sunday: Up early and went to greenwich for a walk around the market and some lunch. Spent £500 on black and white photos!!

I didnt stay for Oakenfold but apparently he played for about 45 mins and was pants. Glad I left early!

Friday Stayed in with a few beers.

Saturday: Went into town had a little shopping trip for myself. Was going to go to Dust to meet Mark Sun but was reminded by my girlfriend that we had a BBQ to go to for 2 of our friends birthdays. Had a few drinks and a burger or 2 then headed to the Ministry Quality night as usual with the tune of the night being 808 State! Met Barbie and Nightfly. Left when it closed.

Sunday: Spent the day relaxing with a few pints then I cooked some dinner for us which i had to force down

Barbie thanks for the invite but Erin has got a exam this week and is strssing cos she needs to revise more. Next time ill come if I have to drag her by her hair

Fri: A few pints in Soho.

Sat: Gay Pride...Central London was complete carnage due to Live 8 so just being in the city was a buzz.
Got on a the vodka red bull at 11am and behaved like a complete loon till late afternoon/evening. It was great this year because the emphasis wasn't on a music festival finale in a park...instead, everyone just took over central London (Trafalgar Sq & Leicester Sq). I was also frog marched (completely against my will ) to the shops to buy a B__d ticket.
Watched live 8 in the eve - how amazing??? Soooo cross I wasn't there.

Sun: Got up at 4.30am and braved the trek to V____, vodka red bull in hand (perfect breakfast to prep my body for what was to come).
Broke my gay exodus at B___d and really glad I did because it was blinding! Haven't been in a while so I'm glad to see the music didn't consist of the same old happy clappy crowd pleasers. Couldn't leave the dance floor till closing - after which I went to B-Live on Clapham Common.
What can I say??? Completely insane! Joey Negro stole the day with an amazing old skool set (inner city - big fun, liquid - sweet harmony & loads more) - everyone was jumping around like crazy as they always do with this stuff because it always feels like it's going to be the last time you hear them out.
Finally, saw Jamiroquai on the main stage - they rocked.

So just another quiet one really.

Fri Night - Saw the new batman film, thought it was excellent, had a beautiful meal at a local hotel

Saturday - travelled to Ballycastle and spent the day floating about in the Irish sea

Sat Night - lovely meal at the Marine Hotel, few drinks

Sunday - Rough day on sea, nearly had to get the coastguard i got scared All in all very enjoyable though

Oh god no I had an e-mail from Get Loaded at the wkend saying that an extra special big-name DJ was being added to the line-up and woyldand Tom was saying that only Oakie is extra special and a big-name I shall make his day now by informing him of the news

Usual routine this weekend;

Fri - Off to Newcastle for new vinyl, bought some Tech House, only spent £30 usually spend double that. Spent afternoon recording them to laptop. Friday night was busier than usual, used laptop. After getting to bed in the early hours, at 3am got a random text from a girl 20 years younger than me "Hi, wanna sh*g?"

Sat - Chilled round the house all day, sorted record case to slot in new tunes. Watched GP qualy and a bit of Live 8. Took decks into my gig and had a great time. Got away with some stonkin' Tech House. 8) Then went to local nightclub and hung around in the DJ booth watching my mate playing rave clubland sh*t, although he did play Gadjo - So Many Times. My son arrived home after nightclubbing with a fat lip. Was walking along the street when 2 strangers asked him for a cigarette then punched him 'cos he didn't have one (he doesn't smoke). What the funks the world coming to?

Sun - Watched GP then off to Tesco's food shopping. Cooked dinner then had a couple of hours kip before going out drinking in the local disco pubs. One of the DJ's was using a laptop for the first time after getting some advice from me, he was loving it.
