Sublime at Essence Bar in Farringdon is fast becoming known for it's friendly atmosphere, great music (and dj's) and great party vibe. Residents dj's James Lewis and Helen Joyce plus monthly special guests play the most upfront and latest dirty sexy funky house music. Sublime has now been going for over a year.

December will be our last party for the year and our last till February so we've got an extra special big night planned There will be two guest dj's, a live PA and a late licence till 3am, and we will also be starting at the earlier time of 8pm.

This month we welcome back Leigh White for his second Sublime set. Leigh warmed up for us back in April and did such a fantastic job we just had to get him back for a headlining set. Since April Leigh has been busy perfecting his fresh funky house and breaks sound, warming up for the Ignition Crew at Inigo in Clapham, playing for our friends at Get Busy on Old Street plus numerous bars and parties around London.

Making his debut for us is Mark Sun (http://www.mark-sun.com/). Mark is an exceptional up and coming dj talent (Gallery Future Hero) who is involved in his own successful night 'It Would Be Rude Not To' and has played on several occasions at The Gallery at Turnmills where he has been listed alongside numerous big name dj's. We look forward to hearing Mark's unique tribal and progressive sound rocking the dance floor.

It's also a great pleasure to welcome back Jaisalmer (Matt Thomas and Rob Elliot) who will be doing a live performance of their fantastic tunes San Frandisco and Love Will See You Through along with some of their new material. Many of you will have heard San Frandisco on the new Pringles television advert so watch out for these guys going big. Matt and Rob loved the great reception they received at Sublime back in September and are promising an even better performance this time.

And of course it wouldn't be a Sublime night without residents Helen Joyce, Nick Ronin and James Lewis.

Essence is a great two level bar. Upstairs there are comfortable couches for relaxing on and tables for dining in the evening, downstairs is the dance floor where all the action happens. Essence is 1 minute walk from Barbican tube station.

Entry is free before 9, £3 on the guest list till 11, £5 on the door or after 11, email james@sublimebeats.com for unlimited guest list. The music kicks off this month at 8pm.

If you're looking for a fun and friendly night where you can hear some great funky house music or are looking for a pre-club warm-up then Sublime is the place to be, the Sublime crew can also arrange discounted entry to Turnmills to 3am. See www.sublimebeats.com for flyer.
