I know it’s a terrible thing to say, being British myself, but I really don’t want to be near a load of gobby British tourist when I go on holiday!!! Should I just forget Ibiza altogether or is there an escape? I want to spend a couple of days crazy clubbing but then want to slink off somewhere for some peace and quiet! It needs to be not too far from the clubs or airport and by the sea! The general idea is as few kids as possiable and no one selling pizza and chips, you get the idea! Any one got and tips for locations/ apartments?
Thanks oh wise and knowledgeable ones!!

when i metionn to people that i go to ibiza they assume its like "ibiza uncovered" this is a tiny area. there is so much more to the island.

the island is about 20miles across so everything is near, the clubs are all over the island, but in general the better one are on the east side. i would recommed staying in figuretas or talamanca. ideal for reaching the cosmopolitain nightlife of ibiza town.

playa den bossa is another option.

well i kind of get what you are saying, in a very brash kind of way  but most "gobby british tourists" are concentrated in 2 streets down and 2 streets across them, in San Antonio.

Easily avoided if you wish, even if you stay in San Antonio itself.

But there are plenty of places to get pizza and chips (among many other types of food) all over the island - what's with the pizza aversion??

Why don't you read all the info in the  resort guide to help you choose where to stay ;)

For a more authentic Spanish experience, along with IMO the best bars on the island, old Ibiza town is the way to go.. and only a short cab ride to Playa D'en Bossa and the mighty Space 8)

and take a trip up north, the eastern side of the island near st. eulalia is occupied by germsan peeps but up north you have it all to yourself + it is GORGEOUS!!!

im getting the fever now!

I second that!!

for about 10 yrs on the bounce from being approx 10-20 we went to the same apt in just outside santa eulalia, and virtually no brits!!!

It makes me laugh how even the British peeps on this board can't stand to be near the BA's (Brit's Abroad) on holiday

If I wanted to be surrounded by drunken scum for 2 weeks, I would save myself the plane fare and hang round my local "jumpin jacks"for a fortnight!! ;)
