Ah yes the most money spent buying each point...impressive...
What's that I hear? a broken record?

The team that beat Manchester last week cost less than 4 of the United players they played against. Chelsea have bought only 1 of the top 25 European transfers.

The money talk is old. It's an excuse for teams that don't perform.

Mortified? Let me see... a publicly-listed Plc where the chief executive and board of directors are required by their fiduciary duty to shareholders (like the Irish guys who, surprise, aren't Man U fans and didn't attend games) to run the club like a proper busines, or a single owner who would.... run the club like a business?

It's a combination of hype and anti-Americanism is what it is. On an empirical level, it's actually a lot better to be beholden to one large shareholder than a handful of them with different interests.

and then relegated all the way down to the old division 2

At least the fans didn't turn their backs on the team. Our attendance actually increased on relegation to Division 2 (or League One as it's now known). What other team can say they have such loyal fans?

So were you at the Spurs' match yesterday? ;)
