Telephone Advice Please

Can anyone advise please how I go about arranging for a land line to be installed in my apartment in San Antonio. Am coming back for three weeks in august and dont want to waste to much time trying to sort it out. Wondered if I would be able to arrange something in advance by the net maybe.

Telefonica's website's a nightmare. I certainly couldn't find any way of ordering through it. Your best bet is to go into one of Telefonica's shops. There's several in Ibiza Town. I don't know about the rest of the island. You'll generally find one of the shop workers speaks some English. It only takes a couple of minutes for them to fill in the form. You need a Spanish bank account and a passport or NIE. It's also useful if you've got a Spanish mobile so that the engineer can call you to fix a time to come to the apartment. They tell you it can take up to a week, but it's generally quicker than that.
