Wooo i go to Ibiza tmo and can't waite,just a quick question how does everyone take there money over there?Im thinking of takeing cash my gf is takeing traveler chequs ? :?
 
Didn't think anyone used travellers cheques anymore, they're just so 20th century ;-)

I just took my debit card and used the "telebanco" machines as and when, ie exactly the same as you'd do back home!

I would advise people not to rely so heavily on debit cards, i have had problems withdrawing money from machines for various reasons.

Hmm, last year in San An I recall all the machines being 'down' for a few hours.
The way I do it is to have 100euro buffer, if I drop below that then it's time to withdraw more...if the machines are down you'll survive on 100 till they return.

PS the machines were fine this/last week!
 
I wouldn't change £ or Travelers Cheques in £ over there. I had my eyes taken out last time. This time I'm taking some Euros and just using the cash point, it's always worked for me before so don't know why I changed last time.
 
Taking €90 left over from last year, plus debit card (and emergency credit card).

It seems far cheaper that way. I have never paid more than £5-odd in bank-charges.
