Loving or hating London:
I love London...........In the Rain .............(cant remember who wrote this masterpiece, but anyway, its from a hotel costes CD and Its just luuuvely) - and its true, altho its in fact NOT raining........

General Update on my mood so far:
OK boys and girlies. IG is here and its been almost 6 days since I ditched the kingdom of denmark - and flew over to join the UK troops. No tears yet.......amazing! Not even when I waved goodbye in the airport. Maybe because this was SOOOOOO needed for my well-being! I need to be able to breathe (smog) in the city of London, where people actually have words like binge-drinking, trance, progressive, house and whitewine shenanigans in their vocabulary

Shopping and grooming (and a bit of male talk)
Ok, all sorted - and got myself a LUUUUVELY new male hairdresser with a name, I cant remember  something with J (nevermind, IG f*** sake) - who works in the Covent Garden "Toni & Guy". Had myself a nice fringe done, only 5 Pounds. My money seems to be jumping out of my hands, EVERYWHERE I GO!! I spend 60 Pounds on a must-have skirt the other day, when my sister and her friend came over - and also got a nice black top in Zarah on Oxford. Today I resisted temptation, when a rather cute italian salesman in Harrods was about to sell me the most AMAZING pair of wedges from Kurt Geiger. I told him I´d go home to sleep on it (NO not sleep with HIM), but now i really regret not getting it... (the shoes, that is! ehm....). - they were "only" like 99 pounds........

My daily coffee intake at Café Nero is taking its toll on the spendings as well. a good round 5´er a day gets spent on coffee. And I' m soooorta stiiiiill trying to figure out why im shaking when it's around 4 in the afternoon, lol* :spank:

Being a Dane in UK this week:
Anyway:bankman and hairdresser both wanted to know what it was like to be a Dane these days, knowing my country caused massive reasctions all over the world with the infamous 12 cartoons of the islamic prophet. Whoa tough question to ask, because you wanna back up your country but cant deny we kinda stepped on many peoples feelings and toes. my respons is and will be for the future:; well i didnt get near that drawing pen so dont ask me!
Eavesdropping on peoples conversation about the topic has proven to be very interesting also, these last few days.

Jobsituation;
Been applying onling for a BA cabin crew temp. position. And a lot of office jobs. Looks like some temp offices might be able to get me a job, whatever....but WHOA is it hard to get a PG AND A NI number here...yes, yes i know...ive been complaining about this for a looooooooong time. but its TRUE!I love your taxsystem by the way! 22 % ha! I normally pay 55 % so thats like giving me money straight in my hands! Yes please.......

Clubbing-going-out-status (and some more on the male situation)
Went to Bar Soho the other night, met this incredibly handsome bloke- Robert, dark hair, maybe 6" tall....handsome as helll!!!!! I didnt get his phonenumber, because after half an hour of flirting, I told him I was leaving and that I´d be back. I never made it back, so there I was at home the next day - MORTIFIED!!! argh, if anyone knows a dark haired robert, with dreamy brown eyes that went to bar sohoFriday - let me know im looking for him!

So far, this London thing is great fun. Hope to meet you all very soon!
Take care!

didnt know you were danish?

is there still a shop called "stig p" in Copenhagen? Think it's on Kronnprincengade?? (apologies for the spelling) I used to be freinds with the owner, a chap called Soren? :)

Sounds like you're having a blast IG :D It took me a few months to get used to London when I first moved here but now I wouldn't live anywhere else, there's so many things that you end up taking for granted cos the city really does offer everything you could ever want and more. See you soon for a welcome-to-London spritzer ;)

Aaaaah, I enjoyed reading that! It's such a great feeling when you arrive in a city with rose coloured specs* on. Your fresh excitement reminded me of when I was travelling. ;)
You'll soon get bored of Soho though, the west end looks and feels exciting but it's not a patch on the east. 8)

(* btw - it's over a year later I still haven't taken mine off! I still think London is the best place in the world, weather and all!)

Sounds great, good luck with the job hunting and finding Robert!
Makes me want to come to London and find my Robert, too.

8O I was half on the phone with a client when I wrote that and just read it back...how seedy does that sound? 8O

hahahha you people make me laugh!
sure Babs, anytime ready for whitewine shenanigans. whatcha up to on the 18th? meeting Pups for drinks and party. U might wanna join, but dunno if Morillo is your thing?

PMSL - I hope Ill find Robert. Damn he´s cute......
Anyway I know Ill probably get tired of Soho, its not really my place in the first place (ha sounded stupid) . but my sis´wanted to go there, because her bfriend (ex) used to work at Café Nero in Soho, so we were in the neighborhood anyway.......

I am having a blast. today im going to a studio to work, which will be fun
To answer to question. Yeah Stig P is a fash´shop, in kronprinsesngade. Its a good store, and sometimes you can get really lucky. Thé last thing i got from them was a golden necklace with a flower pendant. gorgeous! and only 30 pounds, not that bad!

IG IS READY TO PARTY SO JUST SAY THE WORD!!!
