Space and asthmatics!

Having read the forum I'm aware that searches are commonplace outside Space. My husband and I will be going in a week and half and I'm worried about my taking asthma inhaler which, unfortunately, is a neccesity when clubbing (I've only ever needed it once in a club but that's enough to scare the shit out of you!). I've worked out the Spanish for "I have asthma" but I'm still worried it may be confiscated. Does anyone have any experience of this? TA :?

What about if I were to try and take my insulin injection in with me, as I'm diabetic? Would this be considered in the same way?

i used to go out with a guy who was diabetic. whenever he traveled abroad he wuld get a stamped letter from his doctor which he would then get translated into the relevent language. he carried this with him at all times to avoid problems with his syringes.

I took my inhaler with me into space and Amnesia. Both times I pointed it out to the security and they were fine.

I rarely need it but when I haven't got it, I can get a bit panicky....

no problems ever taking my inhaler into an ibiza club. as mentioned earlier in the thread, the space bouncers did take the canister out to look inside but that was it.

ON THE DOOR: If they can see your inhaler in your pocket they want to see it. When you show it to them they know instantly what it is and sometimes they look inside your inhaler. Then you get it back and everything is okay after that. INSIDE: When you use it inside they do not disturb you. They are used to inhalers I presume.
