Not content with parties in the UK, Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday takes its first steps overseas with a secret party in Ibiza. Held in the grounds of an old Ibizan finca, expect New Orleans inspired street performers from interactive theatre company Gideon Reeling, outdoor chill out areas, cocktails and music performances and DJ sets from the following;

Taking you off the beaten track, Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday explores the eccentric and eclectic sights and sounds of the city with an amazing musical showcase mixed up with secret rooms, Creole food and Southern Comfort cocktails.

BESTIVAL FAT TUESDAY PARTY IN IBIZA​

THIS TUESDAY 13TH JUNE​

Following yet another week of excitement here at Bestival HQ we are now taking ourselves off to Ibiza for a couple of days to celebrate our lovely festival with our very good friends Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday. Having hosted events at festivals and various one off parties in London and Scotland, Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday is now venturing to the party capital of Europe. Famed for its unique style and themed events, Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday explores the eclectic and eccentric city in its mission to showcase the sights and sounds of the drink’s home, New Orleans.​

We have already announced the marvelous Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday tent that’s coming to Bestival in September but we couldn’t wait that long so we’ve joined Southern Comfort to throw a party on the White Isle in a beautiful old Ibizan finca located 20 minutes from Ibiza Town, complete with stunning gardens, a pool and fountains. This is going to be one very special evening.​

A very special Bestival guest will kick start the proceedings and headlining the event will be lords of the leftfield Coldcut, who returned this year with ‘Sound Mirrors’, described by many as their best album to date. With a DJ career spanning over 20 years Coldcut have never DJed together in Ibiza making their set at Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday a special occasion for the duo and island alike. The amazingly talented Alice Russell and TM Juke will provide a show stopping sunset performance. Known for his trip-hop sounds, TM Juke will drop the deck action for an exclusive acoustic guitar set, paving the way for Alice Russell’s soulful tones. Wrapping the evening up with their disco, funk and dubbed out jazz will be Southern Comfort Fat Tuesday favourites, Idjut Boys. ​

Outdoors among the orange groves, interactive theatre company Gideon Reeling will create a surreal parallel party atmosphere mixed with Mardis Gras masks and period costumes where the line between performer and audience is blurred to invisibility. Come, don a mask, revel in the magic and watch the sunset over the Ibizan hills whilst enjoying a selection of delicious Southern Comfort cocktails and Southern-style food.
