Thousands of music industry people will once again gather in Miami in March for five days of music, business and parties at the 19th edition of the infamous Winter Music Conference. Rumour is rife, however, that several clubs such as Nocturnal, Crobar, Maze and Nikki's Beach club will not be opening their doors for this year's events. The reasons for this are outlined in an e-mail sent to hundreds of music lovers all over the world, stating that clubs in Miami are not ready for WMC 2004.

Club Maze, which consists of three areas ranging from casual chic to a high energy music fuelled environment, is set to close its doors at the end of February, immediately before the conference. The reason for the closure? The lease is up and they have to make way for new tenants. Anyone logging on to Club Maze's website, however, will find that the club are currently hiring staff for the events during WMC...

Another club that supposedly won't be ready in time for this year's debauchery is Crobar. With venues in Chicago, New York and Miami, the latter will be closed until WMC 2005, according to the e-mail. Crobar told us they're open during WMC and have published the following:

5th March: Hope & 420: Timo Maas, Nick Warren, Hyper
6th March: Carl Cox & Circus: Carl Cox, Yousef, Mark Lewis, Onionz
7th March: Subliminal vs Type: Erick Morillo, Jon Carter, Medicine 8, Seb Fontaine
9th March: Magic Sessions: Little 'Louie' Vega, Tony Humpries, Tedd Patterson
