sol bahia

Got my flight tickets for june next year to ibiza and thinking about booking up for accomodation around the coastline/kanya area. I've seen a lot of reviews about the sol bahia but cant find out exactly where it is.!! Is it as far along as the Hotel Tannit, or closer to the coastline/kanya end. People keep saying its anything between 5 and 20 minutes walk to either the centre of mambo area so a little confusing.

Does anyone have anyother suggestions for beach based accomodation in the sunset strip area apart from Catlinas (no pool and club 18-30) or coastline as they are a fortune?

cheers :D :D :D :D

Hi I think its in the Bay area towards the hotel Hawaii.... try th Blau Park if you want a decent hotel near Kanya etc..... or for a cheaper clean but basic option try the Grand Sol...

look at this post.

Mcrackin puts up two pics of Kasbah the first one shows its sign "sunset bistro" the one below is a pic from the terrace. The Sol bahia is the white building in the centre of the pic with the part-constructed building on the right.

I stayed there this year and we went to Mambos et al most nights and I d say its about 10-15 mins at a slow pace. Its a quality gaff too, the staff are great, they'll open the bar late, let you have people back , music on etc. Oh and Air con is a god send.Id recommend it to anyone.

yeah, thats where i thought it was, funny thing is that the map on this website shows the sol bahia as being on the coast but the other side of the road to the catalina, 8O

I stayed at Costa Mar this year - just along from Sol Bahia. Its a great area to stay and I am going to stay in this area again next year and I am hoping to stay at the Sol Bahia :D

So its not in the bay then, its actually near Calo Des Moro

There are some apartments called the bahia apartments just along from the hawaii in the bay, but these arnt the ones im interested in

The old MOS hotel was called the Hotel Bahia, just between the Palmyra and Hawai along Dr Flemings.

The Bahia apartments are very handy, we could spot them from our balcony at Coastline. You can use the pool and facilities at both Kanya and Coastline no probs during the day. :D

No, the ones in the bay is the Bahia Hotel (Old MOS place). The Sol Bahia Apartments are another 75 to 100m along from Costa Mar. The apratments are featured on this site within the hotel guide :D

That's the one I was thinking of .. sorry for any confusion...

there is only one Sol Bahia that I know of (otherwsie taxi drivers would of kept taking us back to the wrong place!! :D )

Stayed there this year with the gf. Had an apartment on the front of the place. Had an absolutly brilliant view of the sea (great after a heavy clubbin sesh to sit on the balcony with the water crashin up on the rocks! :D )

Place is really nice. Clean. Freindly staff. No stupid music gettin whacked on by the management at 10am (like in some sh!holes on the island!) 5 min walk from Coastline etc. Not far from Mambo/Cafe Del Mar. Is around a 15min walk to the Disco Bus. Has nice pool.

Have some picks of the view from the balcony. Can email or get em hosted somewhere if you wanna see em?

Blau Park etc

Blau Park (?) is v.swish but must have loads of families in it? Stayed at Gran Sol a couple of years ago. Is nice, cheap and cheerful. Between all of em would prob plump for Sol Bahia.... epecially if you can blag a room with a view! :D

Stayed at Sol Bahia this year. Thought they were great apartments, excellent location, nice staff etc. I would recommend them to anyone.
Hoping to stay again in June
