Snoring...

Anyone battled a problem with snoring?

For me, it used to be a rare occurrence, usually only if I was extremely exhausted or sometimes when very very drunk. However, the missus says it's a constant problem now. :?

Ideas? Remedies?

I'm a snoring victim 8O
It's really really annoying to not be able to sleep cos you have near you someone sleeping like a baby and doing evident noisy proves of it  I even get a bit agressive with poor Pep

We have this little stickers you put in your nose, the ones swimmers and atlhets use, and it works. It's not the end of snorting but it really reduces the noise ;)

Sil - you and Irina should start a support group  She gets pretty aggressive about it too.

According to the site Sirens mentioned above, those little stickers don't entirely work... but the thing they recommend is even worse - it's like a sports mouthpiece!

I am the most pacific persone in the world but when you are wake up because of snoring you are hitting the contrair while you are still half inconsciente, if that makes any sense.
It's not the end of snorting but it reduces lots the noise. And at least you are doing something to try it and so you are supporting Irina in that ;)

I thought we were talking about noises you make in your sleep?

(sorry Sil ;) )

Snorting is what you do when you inhale to suck something up your nose (usually this is done while awake... often in nightclub bathrooms )

Snoring is what Pep and I appear to do while sleeping.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news Morbyd but its the alcohol- it relaxes the muscles at the back of your throat whihc makes them obstruct your airway.

Pep doesn't drink alcohol but when he goes out he directly sleeps in the sofa because of it  . And over-weight doesn't help neither

According to that site Sirens referred to above, it can be caused either by alcohol or by getting older. I'm guessing the recent increase in freqency is related to the latter, as the alcohol consumption has been pretty constant for years and I didn't used to snore all the time.

I guess I'll be joining Pep on the sofa because I'm not giving up my beer!
