anyone heard this yet,its more dark and upbeat than their last effort and it takes a while to grow on you but its probably one of the best artist albums ive heard since mylo's.

Yep it's kool think they've bettered the first album which is no mean feat! Always a sign of a good album when so many remixes come out of songs on the album - like the 49 percent remix 8)

I much prefer Melody AM, but there's still a smattering of great tracks on The Understanding.

Second Magnet album was disappointing too (while on the subject of Norweigans).

I prefer melody AM, although I have totally overlistened to Melody AM and I'm trying to make this album last a little longer...

It has grown on me with each listen, so I'll get back to you in 6 months....

If "The Understaning" is to attain classic status like "Melody AM" did it will take time. Best to judge once it's been around for a while.

What I can say for now is that tracks from both sound *amazing* live. "Only This Moment" becomes a sweeping epic with live vocalist, and I can't get over how intense "Poor Leno" is in concert. A track to lose it to.

Saw them in concert last week: if they passy by near you, don't miss them. The quite solid electro-pop artist "Annie" is opening for them.

Wow look at the thought-provoking artwork 8O 8O

The one they play on the radio (crap) is different from the one on my promo single (great), yet both are apparently remixes by Stuart Price. :?
