Recording from soundcard - Nero 7

Hiya,

I want to record my mixes. I used to use Sound forge but laptops (PC not mac) been re formatted and can't get a copy.

I've just installed Nero 7 but don't know if i can record from my soundcard. I used to just plug into the mic socket, set the peaks then record.

First you have to go into the windows volume control (in the control panel) and make sure you're set to work through the sound card. Also set the proper input volume from the microphone and turn off other recording inputs.

You should be able to go into SoundForge, set your levels and record. 8)
 
Haven't got sound forge any more dude... Downloaded audi grabber will give that a try tonight.

Have heard people say they recorded with nero. Would like to know how just out of interest
