Recommended clubs/nightlife in amsterdam...

Yeah, I know the site is for Ibiza but not sure what other forum to use :) Anyway, I have a friend doing the whole backpack through Europe thing. Supposed to go but work kept here...yay. Anyway, he's out in Italy right now and is about to hit Amsterdam at the end of the week. He emailed me and asked if I can do him a fav and see if I can get any names of places he should definitely check out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have actually just returned from an awsome long weekend (Thur-Mon) in Amsterdam. It is such a cool city! Would love to go right back immideately.
For the night scene, Escape (found at Remblandsplein) is defenately a place he should check out on eihter Thursday or Saturaday. Awsome place. Just be aware that even though they said closing time was seven on Saturday, they might close as early as 0530.
