I will be in Ibiza from August 29th for 2 weeks and will be stying in San Antonio Bay. Can anyone tell me how far the bay is from the centre of san antonio / west end (walking distance) and what the nightlife (if any)
is like in the bay itself.
Also ive heard of these "disco buses" that go to the major clubs and back again, any further details on them?
Any further info you can think of would be helpful - its my 1st time! ;)

I've always stayed in the bay - and depending on alcohol consumption walking can take anything between 15 minutes to 1 hour! - also depends on how far round the bay you are.

You can alsys get the ferry boats from one side to the other for about 2Euros

Im staying in the Marina Playa apartments - where abouts are they in relation to the bay??

Its a good question as I'm wondering about the same. I'm at hotel Hawaii....

Is there a detailed map online of San An Bay? I've seen the one on the spotlight website but it gives you no idea on distances etc. Maybe a AA map is the way to go.

Is the discobus turning up this year.. we tried to get it a few times last year and it either never appeared or was "when we're ready time".... :?

I only know of the Marina Palace Apartments?!?!?
That is right around the other end of the bay Port des Torrent side, i would say it will take an hour to walk to the west end so ur better off either getting bus/taxi/ferry. there are a few decent bars up there Sgt Peppers II, Kumharas, Paddy's Irish Pub, Moby Dick's to name but a few.

:D

Yeah its Marina Playa im staying in, address is Ur Playa Des Puet if anyone can shed any light on where that might be

typical bloke! i wondered why the lads always go to peppers after work!!!

it is a bit far walking to san an from where you will be staying- you will be much better of taking a ferry or a bus.
disco bus is pretty good, but I don know it if goes that way

both the hawaii and marina playa hotels are at the end of the new paseo maritimo (promenade). you can stroll to san an in 10 - 15 minutes or longer if you take in the bars and restaurants along the way - sa punta, s'embarcador, zinema, itaca, bar m, orange corner and so on.
