Can anybody tell me how moch money I should take with me for clubbing ? I'll be staying for 14 days and don't know much about the prices there (except that they are high).

Thanks in advance for any recommendation.

when i went in 2001 i went out to a club every night. i spent 1500 easy.

last year i went out 5 nights and spent 1000

bearing in mind we ate out every night and went to the good bars. well the best bars in san ann!!

you could do it cheaper but its worth saving the extra and doing it good!

lol Cue the people who think 1000 is nothing!!!

when i spent 1500 in 2001 we did go out every night. personally i couldnt cope going out every night for 2 weeks now. i believe you can do it allot cheaper eg drinking in your apartment getting busses everywere eating cheap every night. for me though i live 50 weeks of the year for my 2 weeks holiday.

A fair budget would be 100 Euros per club visit per person (including ticket, 4-5 drinks, etc.). Tickets cost anywhere from 15 to 50 euros, with average price probaly 25-30.

My trip budget last year was 250 euros/day (around $300 per day) for me and the wife, not including hotel. That was for food, incidentals, clubbing.

On non-clubbing days we spent considerably less, but clubbing days usually went over-budget.

Thanks for your replies. Honestly I didn't expect the prices to be that high... I'm a student and well lets say it like this: I couldn't even afford going there for 7 days :o
My plans were taking app. 400€. And I definitely want to go clubbing more than 4 times.
Main reason I wanted to go to Ibiza was the clubs but now I have to look for something else I guess. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to go. Hehe.

But isn't there an alternative for those clubs like "Privilege" or "Pacha"? I mean I can't imagine that everybody on this island spends 100€ a day.

Something like clubs with moderate prices?

Of course there's alternatives.

You can cut down on non-club costs by eating cheap (fast food, supermarkets, etc). If you go to the beach, take a towel instead of renting the beach chairs.

You can go clubbing in the West End of San Antonio or clubs like Sonmy in Playa d'en Bossa (last year, they were handing out free entrance wristbands on the beach at Playa d'en Bossa). In those cases, you'll spend mostly on just your drinks. The drinks there are also cheaper.

Bora Bora, depending on how it's reincarnated this year, is another good party option. It was a beach club, so free entrance and dancing in view of the ocean, but it's not certain there'll be music outside this year. If not, they may use an attached indoor facility, that had been unused, instead.

If you budget it right, you can still do a couple of big club nights. Just drink beforehand (but don't look drunk at the entrance!) and don't spend once you're inside.

as said above, you could do it on budget by going to the smaller clubs and you'll still have a better time than places like magaluf and falaraki etc etc

Is that 1000 pounds, euros, or dollars? I assume that's not including hotel?

Pounds or euros you should be fine, though with euros you'd need to watch your budget (100 euros on club days, 40 on non-club days). If that's dollars, it'll be tight but you can do it if you're careful about what you spend on food and don't drink as much once inside the big clubs.

San Miguel is readily available. mmm good 8)

There are deffo loads of ways of saving:

Take your own drinks in the evening and sit on rocks outside Cafe Del Mar/Mabo etc, still get the tunes but don't pay heavy prices.

Buy food from supermarkets...... you can save plenty of coinage by making your own sarnies, salads etc.

Smuggle quarter bottles of spirits into club, if your lucky people will offer to buy your coke/mixer for a bit of your spirit  Cheaper for them too!

Shop around for tickets, some places are a lot cheaper than others.

Obvious one, but go easy on drinks in clubs.

Go to after parties instead of main events, they are a lot cheaper to get into!!!
