Pioneer cdj-200

lil joey has one.

nice tidy bit of kit, but a bit expensive imo.

for an extra £100 or so, u can get the CDJ800.

im gonna hold out for 800's personally.

you can pick them up for about 300-350 now. compared to the price of 1000MkII's thats cheapo. I wouldnt know how to use the extra features on the 1000mkII anyway.

go to http://www.pioneerprodj.com and watch all the videos. i cant remember where it is, but theres one where he goes through all the different decks, and shows you what styles they are suited to. to get videos, go to the products, then look for media with that product.

Got a 1000mkii and a 200. 200 is a fun little cd player and quite small so it's portable. It's got some groovy on-board effects too which is fun. The main differtence between the 800 and the 200 is that the 200 doesn't have vinyl emulation (i.e. you can's scratch and cue it like vinyl), but you can get used to that (most djs I know swicth the 1000 to 'CDJ' anyway.

Agree with Mr Sun, only use the vinyl mode if cueing and/or setting loop points.

Me and my big banana hands have made the mistake of leaving on while in the mix once or twice....  (NOT GOOD) ;)
