Paris Hilton to host foam party called 'Foam & Diamonds' every Wednesday at Amnesia from 3st July

Absolutely stunned they have arranged this, already getting a massive backlash on Facebook!

that's one way to wreck your clubs credibility!
 
It will get plenty more people in the club (west end kids).

It'll get loads of additional hype over in Amercia no doubt.

Good move business wise by Amnesia IMO.

Do they need the extra cash with so many big events already though? and is the cash enough to cover the loss of credibility?
 
do you really think Paris Hilton playing a few gigs when its a foam party will stop the masses going to Cocoon, Together and Cream?

Not in the short-term no, but the other clubs on the island have always looked down on Eden & Es Paradis a bit...this year neither club in San Antonio has anything as tacky as this event!

I read this on Paul Webster's facebook page where someone commented on the matter which I completely agree with. It is a shame that someone with a large financial backing can walk in compared to many promoters who would dream to hold a night at Amnesia but simply cannot due to the risk of the night not working.

On the other hand, interested to see what the lineups @ Eden will be with David Morales :)
 
c'mon guys, credibility? bad move? musical quality? loosen up. we are talking about the goddamn foam party!! it's not as if shes gotten a music on booking. nobody goes to the foam night because of the music. it was always crappy with or without hilton. why should one dj on wednesday tarnish the reputation of cocoon or music on?
 
Where is the outrage when Afrojack and company get booked in Ibiza? Same pre-recorded sets, one just has blonde hair.
 
the news has been received with 100% negativity here in the US.... mainly towards Amnesia.

and Paris is nowhere near as big a news item as she was a few years ago.
 
Whats next.Day time partys where you cant wear shorts,fashion show/parades around around the pool that you cant swim in,Partys been cancelled because there more popular than someone elses..So lucky i stopped going to Ibiza for this dance lark a long long time ago..
