Paranoia?

How is everyone feeling in the wake of the London bombings? I've been getting on the tube every day... Jon has been with me every day though, I haven't done my proper journey alone yet.
This morning a bearded Muslim man got on our tube, wearing a shirt and trousers, carrying a black rucksack, and reading the K'oran. Such was my paranoia that I made Jon get off the tube with me, and move to another carriage.
I felt bad for generalising so much, and being paranoid about someone who most probably was a totally innocent communter, but after what happend a week ago I am just not prepared to take risks any more :(

Everyone is a bit jumpy at the moment.
I was on a train yesterday into Waterloo and was standing near the doors. A guy beside me started shouting "Who owns this bag?"......nobody answered for about ten seconds and then the guy started shouting "Its a bomb, its a bomb!".....the whole carriage pannicked a bit and then a guy said that the bag was his.
Im all for being vigilant but we dont need idiots like that guy causing panic and increasing anxiety.

I do feel nervous and I think it's inevitable that you might look at people in a different way after everything that happened. However I am not going to let them dictate how I live my life or how I view others.

I got on the bus this morning and there was a Muslim man sat on his own and everyone walked past him depsite it being the only spare seat on the bus, he could tell that people were avoiding sitting next to him and I felt so sorry for him so I went to sit next to him and gave him a big smile.

Because London is such a multi-cultural city, people from all races and religions were caught up in last Thursdays bombs and the last thing I am going to do is discriminate against people just because of a few sick individuals who give their 'religion' a bad name because then we are just giving the terrorists what they want and causing more hatred.
