u can get the boat (try www.iscomar.com or www.balearea.com) but i think plane is the best option and can be quite cheap.

www.balearea.com is wrong, the correct one is: www.balearia.net and you should also check www.transmediterranea.net
There's fast ferries that take you to Mallorca in three hours, the journey is very nice but I'm not sure if it's worth compared to fly tickets
Don't take www.balearia.net they are a hassle to book if you are not in Ibiza. you need to call to their offence and the VISA needs to be registered on your name. Only locals can book online.
www.transmediterranea.net is the one I took from Ibiza no complaints and easy to book.
