Pacha is back
The Heartbeat of the Island​

In 1973 Pacha landed in Ibiza during the hippie movement, an Ibizan architectural house located on the outskirts of the island's urban core, but soon to become the place of reference and icon of clubbing for both locals and visitors. Since then, the brand has evolved in leaps and bounds, but to date the club had not known a remodeling like the one that this 2018 presents.​

Back to basics… Flashback, return to the essence, to the origin, to the authenticity, to the heart of Pacha Ibiza
A clean reform, designed and made for the public. An adaptation to the XXI Century, in safety and avant-garde, but at the same time, an analog transformation that seeks to capture - more than ever - the excitement and experience between clubber and DJ with modifications as simple as bringing the DJ booth to the dancefloor.
With the help of Juli Capella, the architect in charge of realizing this dream, the spaces, routes and bars have been optimized and all this, without losing an iota of his original Ibizan architecture, with a special sensitivity to the values of eco design and sustainability.
The DJ booth was presented as an architectural barrier, away from the public and showing the artist as a deity, hindering that sought-after approach - not only by clubbers - also by artists. This new position of the Pacha’s DJ booth, now located in the middle of the dancefloor, had already been shown at the club for the last five years, but only on Sundays with the residence of Solomun+1.
The architect Capella - never visited the club during the Solomun+1 nights - decided to make this change because centering the cabin is the most natural way for the public and DJ to feel the greatest connection. Capella is not a clubber, Solomun is not an architect, but both have been inspired by the same thing: to provide the nights of Pacha the best experiences.
The recreation of different areas with their own personality, the elimination of elements added over time or the recovery of iconic elements, through plant decoration and Mediterranean colors, are other improvements included in this project. These works, inspired by the simple forms of the Ibizan constructions, will be translated into open spaces, in which luminous colors will predominate to create welcoming environments and above all to be able to experience the Pacha Ibiza experience in 360 degrees.

All night long…
This winter has been unusual for Pacha. The redesign has forced the club to stay temporarily under the curtain, but after a few months of suspense the cherries are ready to reappear. On May 4th, the Mecca of the House begins which will be the first of a total of 6 opening parties to be held during the first 3 weekends of May and under the concept: All night long. 6 days of infarction with the following headliners as protagonists: Hot Since 82, Sven Väth, Seth Troxler, Dixon, Fatboy Slim and Solomun.
From Pacha want to dedicate this new stage, above all, to the residents of the island, for that reason, on May 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th and 18th the entrance will be free for them until 2:30AM, showing the ID or residence certificate.

Pacha recupera el latido de la isla en una apertura icónica que devuelve al club su esencia más auténtica
Más de 5.000 clubbers de tres generaciones se sorprendieron con esta vuelta a los orígenes de Pacha, en el opening más esperado de Ibiza​

Pacha Ibiza sorprendió, sedujo y demostró cómo la discoteca más icónica de todos los tiempos puede seguir emocionando, con una apertura en la que la isla volvió a sentir su auténtico latido, en el marco de un opening que reunió a clubbers de tres generaciones. La fiesta sirvió para inaugurar una nueva imagen de Pacha Ibiza que, tal y como afirmó el arquitecto responsable del proyecto, Juli Capella, “retiene su esencia más que nunca, ya que amplía los espacios y los recorridos sin perder un ápice de su arquitectura ibicenca originaria”. De hecho, la sala de las dos cerezas, que aterrizó en la isla en 1973, ha tenido una especial sensibilidad con los valores del eco diseño y de la sostenibilidad, eliminando elementos y salas añadidas con el tiempo y recuperando la decoración vegetal y los colores mediterráneos. “Ser original es volver al origen”, sentenció el arquitecto parafraseando a Antonio Gaudí.
Por su parte el Chief MKT Officer, Pedro Martínez Vega, anunció que “Pacha vuelve, ha vuelto, va a volver a ser referencia desde hoy y ya no habrá más inviernos en Ibiza sin su magia”. Así, concretó, “volvemos a abrir tras una reforma necesaria y ponemos el foco en la gente de Ibiza, en nuestra gente, que representa sin duda uno de los pilares sin los cuáles no podría entenderse nuestra historia”. En esta línea Pacha dedica esta nueva etapa, sobre todo, a los residentes de la isla, por eso, tanto ayer como hoy, y los días 11, 12 y 18 de mayo, la entrada será gratuita para ellos hasta las 2.30 horas, mostrando su DNI o certificado de residente.
Más de 5.000 personas y rostros conocidos como los de Pepe Navarro, Carles Sans o Pocholo, no quisieron perderse “un paseo por la historia de Ibiza”, como lo describió Francisco Ferrer, Brand Ambassador de la marca, en el que “hemos decidido no pararnos, seguir adelante y evolucionar”. Así Francisco Ferrer evocó anécdotas como que “en Pacha se han vivido muchos momentos únicos; parejas que se han conocido o familias enteras que siguen vibrando con nuestra música y que, en días como hoy, acuden juntos a disfrutar de nuestra música, algo que no ocurre en ningún otro club del mundo, porque esto es, simplemente, la magia de Pacha”.

Una reforma limpia, pensada y hecha para el público
Pacha Ibiza se ha adaptado de forma limpia al Siglo XXI, adaptándose en seguridad y vanguardia, a través de una completa trasformación analógica que persigue captar, más que nunca, la emoción y la experiencia entre los clubbers y el DJ, con modificaciones tan sencillas como la de acercar la cabina a la pista de baile.
La cabina del DJ se presentaba como una barrera arquitectónica, alejada del público y mostrando al artista como una deidad, obstaculizando ese acercamiento tan buscado -no solo por los clubbers, sino también por los artistas. “En los años 70 el DJ estaba escondido y el tiempo ha dado a esta figura un protagonismo que queríamos resaltar, además de permitirles la interacción con el público”, matizó el arquitecto encargado del proyecto Juli Capella. Esta nueva posición de la cabina de Pacha, situada ahora en medio de la pista, ya se había mostrado en el club durante los últimos cinco años, pero solo los domingos con la residencia de Solomun+1.

All night long…
Este invierno se ha presentado inusual para Pacha. La puesta a punto ha obligado a que el club se mantuviese temporalmente bajo el telón, pero tras unos meses de suspense las cerezas han regresado con fuerza como la meca del House con un total de seis aperturas que se celebrarán durante los tres primeros fines de semana de mayo bajo el concepto: All night long, y donde un solo artista actuará durante toda la noche. Seis días de infarto con los siguientes headliners como protagonistas: Hot Since 82, Sven Väth, Seth Troxler, Dixon, Fatboy Slim y Solomun.
Tal y como avanzó la Music Director, Jessica Capaz, “teníamos el reto de hacer la primera apertura de la historia de Pacha, por eso queríamos que esta noche fuese especial y que nuestros clubbers vivieran una nueva experiencia como son estos viajes musicales en los que un solo artista actuará cada noche entre 6 y 7 horas”. De hecho, ayer ya pudo sentirse el latido de la isla en forma de música, que regresó con toda su vitalidad para sorprender con una increíble de serie de All Night Longs.
