Opening parties 2006...

Bit of a keen bean I know! lol! But did closing parties this year and wanna try opening parties next year! Anyone know approx dates? Unlucky for me I've got my finals next year so need to plan around them!!

Based on previous years:

Space will open either last wkend in May/first wkend in June. DC10 will open the following day.

DC10 will open the day after.

Pure Pacha and Subliminal open early June.

WLS Opening will prob be 18 June, most other nights will either open the wk before or wk after that.

Manumission tends to open July these days, the likes of Carl Cox/Armada/Viva do 'mini-seasons' so will open sometime in July.
 
how do those of you who've been( or go to ) both compare the opening to the closing parties? Same crowd?.. Must be a different atmosphere on the island? I've only been there just before the closing parties at the beginning of September..

I'd say the crowd is pretty similar for both Openings and Closings cos a lot of ppl do both.

There's pros to both:

June is not as busy as Sept but clubs are still nicely busy.
Weather is always better in June.
Everything is all shiny and new in June ready for the season ahead.

But then everyone seems to party twice as hard in Sept cos they know the season is about to end.

I couldn't choose which one I like best so I always do both :D
