just bought the new streets album beacuse i was a bit intrigued and have to say its one of the most laughable albums ive ever heard ,hears a review of every track

1.it was supposed to be easy
this has some kind of big band sound on it,unlistenable

2.could well be in
some kind of slow ballad thing about mike fancying some chav bird

3.***not addicted***
borderline garage

4.blinded by the lights
the only "decent tune on the album" about mike getting mashed on pills

5.wouldnt have it any other way
more slow stuff, by this time id given up on what mikey was chatting about

6.get out my house
mike does more pots and pans garage with jungle basslines

7.fit but you know it
compared to some of the tunes on the album this aint to bad,still some of the shittest lyrics ive ever heard

8.such a twat
this track went on forever(yawn)still "talking" about chav girls

9.what is he thinking
no comment

10.dry your eyes
what was he thinking doing a track like this,he made this with 13 year old girls in mind :(

11.empty cans
wow mike says the c word,actually has the line "you know what you can do with your life,introduce it to your jacksee"i was in fits of laughter by this point,changes from some moody garage beat to uplifting cheesynes

mike may as well go on the dole after this effort,im off to find some neds to sell this album to :evil:

Tom bought it today and I think it's fab, he could have taken easy option and done Original Pirate Material Part 2 but instead he's taken it to the next level, you either get Mike Skinner or you don't :roll: and I am definitely in the former category :D

Imo the best and most original thing to come out of UK music in years :D
 
Not normally a fan of The Streets at all.

BUT, heard Sara Cox play Blinded by the Lights today......





...and I really liked it. You can really relate to it

thats why i bought it,thinking it had a load of tunes like this,but i found it embarrsing just listening to it.

heard the whole album now and very impressed

its supposed to be about him getting, having and losing a girlfriend - so the story unfolds over the album
thats why he keeps talking about "chav" girls Nitefly! the album is all linked

very original and i think a brave second album
 
story albums are good! I might consider purchasing this geezer! :)

I dont listen to alot of the streets but the thing i like about them is how real life the music is......not the sound lol im not really a fan of their sound, but its nice to hear people speakin about life in music!

Agree with you completely there Jamie 8)

Most music is just about love (pop anyway-, and RnB is all about money, guns etc.!
