So did he know he was officially performing or not? Did someone just thrust a microphone in his hand and tell him to knock out an impromptu one?
...but surely he's a professional so that shouldn't have been too much of a problem?
Or was it the sound man's fault?

Sorry I know the man has made some of the best pop songs of our generation but for the last few years he has just been a disgrace and really should be put down :lol:

At least he wasn't alone. Sounds like that whole World Music Awards show was a total fiasco.

At least Dan X will be happy to know that Bob Sinclar won "best DJ"!

that's it, just believe everything the media has to say as always. they never have a good word to say about michael jackson and can't stand to publicise anything good about him

I applaud your even-handedness and agree that we shouldn't take the media's projection of people as gospel, but his characterisation as a very bizarre example of our species is quite clearly not a media construct. He is, without doubt, a very odd fellow. Being different isn't a crime of course, but the extremity of his divergence from the norm makes me worry for his children.
 
Personally I don't think he molested those children, and I do feel genuinly sorry for his plastic surgury nightmares and lost childhood.

But he should have had a bit of common sence and disappeared a long time ago... preferably with his buddys Uri Geller and David Gest. Possibly to go live on a mutant colony in the south pacific?

Joking apart, I'm ****ing fuming. He won "biggest selling" which is tosh, and was for making sh1t pop house records, when he should be doing his classic sounding stuff.

It's desperate comments like that that make me sympathise the fellow.

Whilst i see the logic of the put down comment (for his own sakes), I don't see why people seem to think it's ok to rip the piss out of someone so obviously unhinged. He's had one of the most f*cked up lifes in the public eye, and clearly needs hel...LOOK AT HIS HAND (whihc in fairness there's relatively **** all wrong with) EEEEUUUURRRRRGGGHHHH WHAT A WIERDO

I'm certainly not saying I'd let him look after my kids (unless he'd do me an impromtu gig of all his hits), and as previously mentioned, his current offspring are the real ones to feel sorry for, though do we all have to be fashioned into this thick, narrow minded, lowest common denomiator goober that the gutter press thrives on?

Don't know who you're referring to...but I actually think he's probably a nice bloke.
The Bashir interview saw him come across really well in some places (ok not all) - if a little sheltered from reality. :lol:
I also don't think he's ever abused a child - but his strange upbringing and resulting affinity with them leaves him open to constant attack. I also hate tabloid journalists - urgh.

Sooo - my point is, this is nothing about the media - more about his shambles of a performance at the world music awards. :lol:
 
i'm not a fan of the man by any means but i just watched a shonky recording of the world music awards and it didnt seem that bad. Maybe it would be worse if i could hear it properly but it kinda looked like there were no plans for him to sing and he just thought he'd try and bust a note. Most likely couldnt hear himself etc..

Cant believe i just defended jacko.. what has the world come to!! :lol:

But they had a choir and backing singers...if it was a situation where he only had to sing a couple of notes if he fancied it then surely they shouldn't have bothered with the fan fayre? :?

This was to some extent, planned...so it's poor attention to detail and lack of effort on his part.
