Pop beauty MARIAH CAREY is staying on a luxurious $180,000 (GBP100,000) yacht in the Mediterranean while her home is being renovated.

The HONEY star, 35, is having work commissioned on her New York abode after her performance at Live 8 in London (02JUL05), and intends to make the most of her time away from home by enjoying a whole month on the water in the hired boat.

And the sexy singer may even delight clubbers at dance capital Ibiza during her time in Europe.

A source says, "She loves it out there. After she performs at Live 8, Mariah will live on the yacht for a month and travel around the area.

"She's going to Ibiza, too, and might even perform at one of the clubs."
