This must be the gayest thread I've ever posted on any message board anywhere  but here goes anyway....

I've been living in the US for the last 7 months (having moved from Leeds UK). I think I'm going to the white isle in September. Its so hard to find fashionable clothes to buy in this country (I don't fancy adopting a hip hop look, or surfer style, or kitting myself out in Ralph Lauren) so if anyone can give me any style pointers for next month I'd appreciate it. By the way, is everyone in Europe still wearing a mohican hairstyle? If so I'll be fine. 8)

im loving the superdry t shirts at the mo...

Excellent site. Thanks mate! I've never clothes-shopped online before but these prices seem very reasonable. I've spent way more on Addict stuff in shops in Leeds before. I guess the shops have more overheads etc etc.

Please use another word rather than "gay"... don't want to hear "gay" used as a negative connotation, though I know what you meant to say. Don't want to risk offending anyone dear :P (I am not gay but some of our friends on the board are.)

I checked out that site... cool stuff for sure!! The beauty of Ibiza is that anything you pick will work. To be at your most delicious, I suggest sporting the following:

1. KILLER shades. Aviators (love the ones with the silver overlay on the lenses... YOW. :P ) are ultra sexy and timeless IMO. Big funky ones are tops as well. The key is to make sure they fit your face properly.

2. Cool rock star-style tee. Preferably tight ;) Pair it with a cool leather cuff and jeans (you can go ripped, but don't go overboard or it will look more 80's cheese than retro).

3. Kick it up a notch with the hair. The faux-hawk you speak of is positively edible in my book, as long as it isn't too long and doesn't look too greased up and dirty.

4. Get an amazing, unique bathing suit... you want to shine at Bora Bora.

hope that helped LOL -xo Novelist PG

Hey Pacha girl,

Thanks for all that excellent wardrobe advice. You definitely sounds like a gal with a good sense of style :D . I see that your location is San Diego.... maybe you can come up to San Francisco and take me shopping sometime! ;)

By the way, apologies to anyone who was offended by the way in which I used the word "gay" in my OP. I have good friends that are gay. In fact some of my best clubbing mates are, so I really didn't mean it to be in anyway a negative connotation. I think I was coming more from the angle that gay men tend to be much better dressed than us straight lads. I guess that's a generalisation and stereotype though, so apologies to anyone whom I have offended a second time! Even if it is a stereotype though, it's surely a very positive one?

No worries dude, glad I could help. :P

I think these guys all look damn fly, especially the one in the middle. The glasses on Mr. Sideburns are a lil too big, but ya know what... he's still workin' it LOL. :P

I got this pic from the Space website http://www.space-ibiza.es/photos.htm Have a look around there for more ideas.

PS... Taking you shopping just may be a possibility, as I am heading up to SF for Love Parade in September!!

great advice pg!

what on earth do you tell people who want to look like complete prats then?

Like I said stephen... anything goes. I was expressing what I feel looks hot when boys are out clubbing. If people want to dress totally crazy, that is ALL GOOD by me... makes it that much more fun. :P Plus, having the confidence to pull off a less... "conventional" outfit is pretty cool.

Shame. I think that's the week I'll be in the beef actually! For closing parties. The Love Parade looks decent (although dare I say it a little trance-heavy!). I enjoyed the only British LP we had - back in 2000.

By the way, I'm fancying these bad boys....

Pretty good price huh? Of course if I bought them online, I would have no idea if they fitted my face...

Since that website I posted didn't actually have any clothes on it, I decided to attach a pic of a custo shirt that I saw on E-bay going for $20 at the moment.

The t-shirts are pretty expensive, but I think they are some of the coolest designs out there.

I have a few custo t-shirts and tank tops myself. Expensive... maybe. Personally, I do not mind forking out $100 for a t-shirt or a tank top if it looks really hot. I love colorful stuff, and the Custo brothers do a pretty good job satisfying my needs.

However, I would have a very hard time forking out $100+ for a solid black shirt. My philosophy is that the clothing be pretty damn well striking if I am going to fork out that much. To each his own, but I think that most of the guys here are pretty boring when it comes to dressing up for the klub atmos, or may be I am too colorful.

:) Those are quality I agree!! Perfect for some terrace action!
I wonder which shops, if any, stock them. If I'm paying that much for a t-shirt I'd be reluctant to buy online in case the fit is not right...

Axon:

I buy them @ Saks Fifth Avenue. Neiman Marcus carries them also. On some occasions you might find them at Nordstroms, but they have a small variety. Certain Macy's (that have designer stores within them) also carry the line. I would suggest that you buy them in the US. I have been to the store in Barcelona, and by the time you are done with the conversion, you will be paying more than in the US. BTW, in the US www.toptops.com is their only authorized online retailer. Their collection is a bit smaller than what I have seen @ Saks.

Useful. Thanks a lot! I guess they'd be a bit more expensive at Saks than online however.

Hmm... short-sleeved or sleeveless :?:

If the latter..... I'll have to do some serious work on the old deltoids in the next few weeks
