I've never been in August but it's one of the cheaper nights in June/September which I've been to. I think it was 25 euros in June. If you go to Dome bar before you can often pick up reduced tickets as well.

40 Euros sounds about right.

If you go to the Dome Bar or the Calle de Virgin for the parade you should be able to get some passes for cheaper entry.
