Has anyone been since this has had a refurb?? I read in Metro this morning that Derrick Carter is down there Saturday and previous weeks have been Mylo, Gilles Peterson etc.

Is it basically the same toeraggy Camden Palace with the same toerag crowd and they're trying to attract different clientelle and failing miserably cos it will take more than a change of name to lose the Camden Palace stigma 8O Or is it actually worth a visit these days??

I thought this club now shuts at 2/3 8O in the morning and that they were using it for live groups mainly..

Still more or less the same club, just a few bits of paint here and there with some new carpet. Oh and you enter and leave a different way.

Unless it went on all night I doubt I'd even consider going back.

Have you been to Koko since it was re-furbished then

Nope, and now I can't think why I said what I said. Just bored and wanted to post I guess :D

Na, Claire and Sam went frantic on a sunday day a few weeks back. And I know Frantic don't do saturday nights anymore due to it closing early, thats why they go for sunday days instead..

The live groups bit I read somewhere, I also know Mylo done something mid-week, or have it coming up

So you were lying to make yourself look knowledgable eh

For a minute there I thought you had gone to Koko without me one night and was about to whoop your ass ;)

If it was a late finish I'd be tempted as Camden was my home for a while, the thought of walking out at 3am and wondering camden does not appeal though :D

I remember the days of rushing home from school on a Friday to wash the car and beg to wash the car for a fiver. I'd have somehow got together £22 already and need the extra bit :

£1 busfare to Camden

£10 entry to Camden Palace (handed over at about 9.30pm!)

£15 purchase of one E (yup, £15 for 1 8O  )

£1 BFH (as Jim Bowen might say)

All week get that £27 together was paramount!

Oh, to be 15 again! Christ, that's made me think - 15 yrs ago, bloody hell. Those times were so exciting - we discovered a whole new world!
