8O shocking!!!!!!

the chick with the guestlist hit the amsterdam bar at around midnight,...at that point me and a mate was contimplating manumission,....but when i heard richard f was playing at el divino i just couldnt resist,....what a mistake that was  there was about 50 - 100 people in the club,.,....granted it was at around 4am but richard f was doing the closing set of the night.

it was my 1st time @ el divino and i thought the club was lovely,....not the biggest but with the right atmosphere (i.e defected) i can see it going off.

at the point we had enough (6am) we went and had alook at some of the boats/yatchs in the harbour,...good greef,...some of those r amazing.....we gotta be talking 1.000.000 quid + for some of them

i went to el divino for the first time this year, and apart from the terrace and that lovely view, to be honest, i wasn't that impressed with it, as a club, at all.

El Divino must be the swankiest of the Ibiza clubs. You cant beat that setting, panoramic views overlooking Ibiza town, the twinkling lights and the amazing yachts surrounding the club.

However on my visit to Hed Kandi this year, on the whole I was a bit dissapointed with the night, not my taste in music unfortunately. :(

Anyone who has been at El Divino knows just how awesome it is ! the layout is fantastic , the terrace is great for a cool chill out , the dance floor just the right size

I do like El Divino as a club, I wouldn't call it awsome, but I like it. Shame Kinky hasn't taken off this year, had it been on a different night, it may have done better. We're still going though on 6th, in support of a friend playing that night Paul Gray, little cutie, and the most stunning girlfriend :D :D :D

Im not a fan of the layout too, its the stairs bit to the toilets i dont like either, i think its dangerous because ppl sit on them and theirs bottles and glasses on them.

Its not interesting enuff and pretty bland, its a nice enuf view of the harbour but thats all its got going for it.

Don't think it ever would have worked to be honest Leese. It's such a London/Essex night it's never gonna work a whole season out there. They would have been much better to run one or two nights over the whole season and sold a whole flight/hotel/club package to their regulars.

In Ibiza you're competing with internationally famous superstar DJs - you're not gonna take people away from them with DJs no-one outside of Romford as heard of, whether their good (as I'm sure you're friend is) bad or mediocre.

Also for the kind of music I imagine Kinky to be about (I've never been) you've got Defected and Hed Kandi, both internationally established brands, competing for the same crowd on the Friday and Saturday night at the same venue they're trying to get people to on the following Monday. (I know HK and Defected aren't the same but they are defintely competing for a similar crowd in Ibiza).

Even the chrononlogy of the nights should have told KM they would bomb. Most people arrive on a Friday or Wednesday, meaning that the opportunity to go to Defected or HK arrises before than that to go to KM.

If I was them, next year I'd try and establish a name out there by running a backroom for someone for the season and if that goes well, consider something bigger the season after.

Easy to be wise about someone elses mistake though Leese. I Take no joy in it - poor bloke must have lost a fortune! Imagine it's easy to get excited when offered something as big a weekly promotion, all season out there at one of the big clubs and say 'we'll make it work somehow'. Other people have made similar mistakes - plenty of people have lost their arse on trying to fill Privelege before.

El Divino feels really plastic and the lighting is reminiscent of a school disco... the terrace area outside looks cool, but attracts knob eds...

Me and Paul have said for ages, he's taking on too much, and I think he's seeing £ signs rather than looking for something new for his nights. Although I do enjoy Kinky, theres nothing there anymore, if that makes sense :?
He's doing paties everywhere, Ibiza for the season, he's had a few nights in Marbella, plus up North, Manchester I think, and Pacha and Ministry, plus nights in Brighton, plus Posh, way too much imo :?

anywho :D
