What can one do with used jiffy bags? I get so many off Ebay and just throw them away but I would like to recycle them...any ideas?

If they are bubble wrap type , Sit there and pop all the bubbles, If it is the cotton fluff type, They make good firelighters

I did actually find a solution - put a post on freecycle and someone will come and pick them up (I assume they re-use them)
