It Has Been One Week

since I had a cigarette. Not that I was a big time smoker; I usually smoked 3-5 cigarettes a day. Last time I went cold turkey was 3 years back and it lasted 3 days  . It has been a bitch so far, but I am fairly confident I can make it through this time.

Good luck :D

I stopped for about a month at the start of the year, I found it quite easy tbh cos I went on patches. But then shit happens, started smoking again and now I'm smoking even more than before

Thanks Babs. Any mood swings?

No I didn't but then the patches really helped, my friend went 'cold turkey' and said she felt like an emotional wreck at times. Just stick with it, it DOES get easier ;)

I went out last week, and I was totally OK with not smoking, but I will have to see how I fare in the long run. The good thing is that I have no expectations this time. Having no expectations always seems to work for me for some odd reason. HOPEFULLY, it might just do the trick this time.

Don't know if Barbie is referring to me here  , but I gave up in January and suffered mood swings, probably for the first month - euphoric one moment and tearful the next. It was so worth it though - I hardly even think about smoking any more. If you've made the decision and you genuinely want to stop, you'll be fine. :D

No worries.

I quite enjoyed the moments of euphoria I must say. I kept waking up early full of excess energy, wanting to go out for runs and clean the house. Shame that didn't last.

And using all your excess energy to be 'helpful' ;)

Has been 7 weeks+ for me. I quit cold turkey this time like I did a couple years back. I had quit for a solid year, easy.. until I went back to ibiza and that ended that.

Good luck with it,
terry

I haven't got a penis tho so what's my incentive to stop :?

I think we've already established that your sex drive is dangerously high as it is.

But if you really want to know...

The specific effects of tobacco smoke on the female body include:
Reduced fertility.
Lower sex drive.
Reduced levels of female sex hormones.
Menstrual cycle irregularities or absence of menstruation.
Menopause reached one or two years earlier.
Increased risk of reproductive system cancers, including cancers of the cervix, vulva and breast.
Greatly increased risk of stroke and heart attack if the smoker is aged over 35 years and taking the oral contraceptive pill.
