Is it true?

that bora bora as closed down

just got back from a week in Hungary/Germany to find about a billion posts 8O

not surprising really, it seems to have been on the cards all summer

funny how Beachbum Gee has a brazillian bolt-hole set up pretty much already if it came as so much of a surprise?

in the end the place became too busy for it's own good, too many people wanted to party in too small a place. The fact that it has upset assorted 'vested interests' probably didnt help either.

I'll sure miss it though. One to tell the grandchildren about for sure.

They haven't been closed down- they have had their music licences removed. you can still eat in the places with restaurants!

Khumharas has had its lisence removed too?! So they dont play any music now when the sun is going down?

I just got a message from somebody who is there .. KM5 plays music but very soft .. there was a dj spinning this afternoon at Ses Salinas

The clampdown on music licences has been going on for at least a month. I was in a bar/restaurant called Gusto which is close to El Divino when it was raided over its licence. At the same time they hit all the music bars nearby including Keeper which is almost an institution for locals and used to have music until at least 6am. As usual there's all sorts of rumours and speculation about the "disco mafia".

But I was at Pacha on Sunday night for Flower Power, one of its busiest parties. At about 5am the music stopped mid-track and the house lights went up. There was no PA announcement or anything and when I asked one of the cops outside why the club had been closed he just said it was for "technical reasons".

At this rate next summer's big Ibiza music style will be Empty House...

Truth is they closed Pacha down on sunday due to a bomb threat. Can you imagine? For me this is definitely the biggest shocker of this season so far.... :( :( :(
