...to tell your workmates/boss that you're holidaying in Ibiza?

I would say definitely YES! Granted my boss is a late 50 year old Israeli gentleman who's probably never heard much about clubbing and ibiza but its better to be safe I think. I would rather he think of me frequenting galleries, museums, and assorted antiquities during my holiday rather than being off my rocker at 3 in the afternoon in a place like DC10.

And instead of going to bars and clubs in the evening to think of me appreciating cultural highlights like a night at the opera. ;)

I feel no shame, but it's kind of like when you go to Amsterdam and people give you a sort of knowing smile as if to say "we know what you're going there for!" ;)

My entire office knows, but only some of the younger kids have any idea what the place is really like. Even then, my boss and CEO wouldn't really care... they know I am a party girl. Plus my CEO is a former alcoholic and cocaine addict, so he kinda chuckles when he hears about all of us partying.

He just hopes I "come back alive" after heading out to Ibiza :lol:
 
I usually say "Spain" and then if pressed say "the Belearic islands" and if totally pressed, then say "Ibiza".

The image out here is of one big drug-fueled party, which isn't the best thing if you work in business. That's why I usually end up giving a very Stephen-like diatribe on all the non-party wonders of the island.
 
i'm afraid if i was your boss i'd just laugh and tell you to gerralife. why you all think that jigging about on a beach in the middle of the afternoon waving at planes is tantamount to world destruction is beyond me, but hey, it's your holiday..................

not any more. i dropped out 13 years ago! silly me. i could have a responsible job like most of our members now instead of being stuck here all year........

I think there's a lot of people on here who would rush to join you if they thought they could. ;)
 
I say Ibiza, but ofcourse here people don' think is anything bad. I guess that if a lived abroad I would say Ibiza just the same.
 
I say Ibiza and there like ooh you going for drugs and raving etc!! I just say its 2005 no 95!!!! ;)

I say Ibiza and he gives me a knowing nod.

Recruitment is a hard working / hard partying job so its pretty much the norm.

IM under strict orders to email pics while im there! top boss.
