I actually, well don't think it's getting worse, but I don't like the "direction" the island is heading in.
Truth be told, it's hard to ever come away from somewhere doing that many carpets and rugs, and not thinking you've had some spiritual boIIocks time, and that it won't be the same anywhere else in the world.
I just hate the general "style over artistic merit" or, people, what i can see as, enjoying (or thinking they're enjoying), what's cool or fashionable to enjoy.
Or maybe that's me in cynical mode, or wanting to be an inverted mini-rebel.
What I can say, with reasonable factual relevance, is that the music has got worse (for me).
I remember my first day at Space, and the tunes they played during the day, and you simply couldn't imagine that sort of stuff being played there at all anymore.
This year, the only place where i went for "my" music, was Bora Bora.
I'll keep on going, because it is f***ing good, but it's more because of the people I'm with, and the associated jokes and experiences (of which the September visit will stay with me for a long time. Hi, I'm Roger Sanchez...")
That, and 24 hour non-stop partying with the cream of clubbings endurance elite.
