Hi guys, just a quick question...Has anyone stayed in the Ibizamar apartments in san an bay?Just bookt a holiday for me and my gf here and hered mixed reports.Allso anyone got any sugestions on ware to go???I know about all the biger clubs but is there any smaller ones worth checking out?Im going on the 23rd july.

Thanx

Stayed there last year (review link in sig below). Pretty basic, but as budget hotels go it was a good 'un.

What sort of nights out are you after?
San An is packed full of clubs, some okay, some rubbish. I can't remember having to pay to get in- most of the time they're begging you to go in anyway. Lots of different music and plenty of people.
The walk round the bay to the town is quite good, you get places such as Itaca and Bar M along the way.
And past the west end is the sunset strip, more nice, but expensive, bars there.

I wouldn't recommend staying in San An every night though- we only used it as a place to have a few cheap drinks before heading off to a 'serious' night out.

Cheers mate cool review :).

Yeah im really looking fwd to Cafe mambo etc,I'm more into prog and house then bar music deffo checking out Pacha and hopefully we love space allso wanna try Annimesa but will give the west end a sample.Has anyone got any info on a club called underground???Hered it's meant to be quite good.

Hiya ,

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Ibizamar apartments when we went to ibiza for the first time ! . They are decent enough apartments, got everything you need, even shops (Spar Shop) just below the stairs to the entrance with plently of beer they also have a shower room which is good cos i see most places dont even have one ! The ppl on the reception are so good ! they can speak very good english which we liked (cos we are lazy brits cant be bothered learning spanish, shame on us!). The actual Hotel Manager gave us his personal business card so if we wanted to stay again then jst get in touch (think it was because he fancied my girlfriend!).

One thing we like was being able to hand in our throw away cameras from the night before and have them developed next day ! great to see piccies from the night before , especially when you have had them taken with the famous DJ,s

The hotel is in the right place , close enough to the action yet far enough away to get a good sleep ! if you get my idea. I personally like the walk along the seafront to the bars with a few drinks! (keep an eye out for the Hawaii Hotel stayed in there to, looks nice, but it aint).

If i was you i would try the Du Na resteraunt just out of the hotel and take a right . lovely chargrilled steaks , nice setting.

There is a small beach across the road which is geat the guy that runs eh beach (well does the sunbeds ect.. is so funny very crude!)

The only downside i would say to the hotel is that is full of young people and the nights you jst wanna chill is impossible cos you have BEER BOYS + GIRLS for that matter running round shouting shit all night ! so annoying !

Oh one more thing , take some pillows with you ! the ones in the apartments are flat as pancakes so hard to sleep on !

Hope this helps , PM me if you need anymore info !

Totally agree with all the points on the above post. Stayed in the Ibizamar just a few weeks ago, the apartments are basic but clean. The air-con is a godsend. Spar shop is good and is open to 3 am ish so handy for last minute things. The staff are very cool, speak good english and are very helpful. The only downside is the Ibizamar tends to get full of beer boys/girls but you can't have everything!!

Hey, lay off Hawaii! Sitting on the Ibizamar balcony, 11:00 pm, sounds from Hotel Hawaii drift over, what is it?- the Okey Cokey! (sp?) Music for everybody on Ibiza, EVEN the clinically insane.

Also, re: Beer Boys. I personally didn't notice any of this when there- although it was in September, so maybe I got lucky and missed them.
And pillows- they are rubbish and flat- I asked for extras and the staff obliged.

Thanx for all the info pepole really aperciated.
