Hello everyone,

I just booked my first trip to Ibiza for next June 19-26, staying at the Marina Palace. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed there before and if you have anything good (or bad) to say about the place. I guess it's too late for me to change my reservation now, but I figure I'd like to hear what you all have to say...

Can't wait for June! I am sure it will blow my mind away...

Hi,
I went to Ibiza for the first time july just gone. i stayed in Ses Fontanellas next door to Marina Palace in Torrent Bay (Port Des Torrent). there are 3 similar styled apartment blocks together and Marina Palace is the posh one :D
Its quiet down that way but still close enough to San An for the action. a couple of bars close by and some cheap restaraunts so no need to travel to far. you get a good view of the sunset from there aswell and if your lucky like us you will see it from your balcony, it makes a perfect start to a night out to watch a sunset while getting ready to party while drinking Sangria ;) :D

Enjoy your holiday, i hope to go back next year but will only be for a week during Sept :)

Missing the place

Mike

Mike, thanks for the reply. Glad to hear Marina Palace is a nice place. Also glad to hear it's not too far from the action in San An, because I am sure I will spend many drunken hours of the day partying over there.

If anyone else has comments, keep them coming.

Thanks.

Marina Palace

Stayed there 3 years ago and have booked again for next June.
Will be there 11-18th so will just miss you.
Local pub the Crown worth a vist. Some good restaraunts around. Short stroll up to Port Des Torrent. I enjoy The Magon Restaraunt there.
Marina Palace was clean and comfortable and is just far enough from the action so you are not disturbed but near enough to walk to it when your up for iy.
Can't wait to get back there. Great sea view. Beatiful Island. Make sure you see Es Vedra at Calla D'hort at Sunset.
Details on Marina Palace can be found on this sight.
How did you come across it and who have you booked through?

I booked it through my timeshare company, RCI. I own a timeshare in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but traded it for a week in Ibiza. This was actually the only week at any resort on the island that they had available. I originally asked for any week in either July or August, but they said they had no openings at the time.

I've read some stuff about the Marina Palace on this site, but sometimes I don't trust what I read online, and I like to hear from people who have been there in person, so thanks for your reply.

My main goal for this trip is to meet some awesome people and party like never before.

Is it a good idea to rent a car for the week to get around the island easier? or should I just rely on taking the bus and taxis?

Thanks!
Steve

Marina Palace and Car Hire

I am also an RCI member, Previously an owner at Torrent Bay but moved down to the Palace.
Have also exchanged for South of France, Teneriffe, Portugal, Lanzarote and twice on Canals in UK.Anyway yes car hire recommended. I'm having one for two weeks as we are soending the week prefious in Santa Eularia on the other side of the Island. This will be my fourth visit but not my last. Could return every year but there are so many places I wish to see.
Beautiful Bays hidden away that you would only find in a hire car not on a bus. Even then some are that well hidden you might need a local to point you in the right direction.
Re availabilty in Ibiza, experience tells me that maybe a few owners have not banked yet. More will come available after Christmas when people start looking for new areas and exchanges.
