I’ll be in Barcelona with my friends in july and we want to spent 4-5 days in Ibiza…Our option is San Antonio and Ibiza Town. Whats the better party town..? Also how long is the boat ride to Ibiza from Barcelona? Will the boat leave us at San Antonio and when take a cab to Ibiza town? How long is the cab ride to Ibiza town?

Thanks in advance

San An is more of a "party town" if you been bars and clubs with people getting drunk and living it up.

Ibiza Town is a slightly older, more cosmopolitan crowd where there's lots of nice bars to get ready for your night out at the clubs.

If you're discerning and into the nighclub parties and DJs, you're better off living in Ibiza Town (or Playa d'en Bossa, Figueretas, Talamanca) because the superclubs Space, Pacha and El Divino, as well as the beach club Bora Bora are on that side of the island.

If you just want to go an party it up whereever, then San An is your deal. A San An vacation tends to be less expensive too.

It takes about 20 minutes to drive across the island.

Thanks Morbyd!!!

so i guess Ibiza is more of high class type of clubs where you have to dress up...

I am still debuting on which hotel to take:
1) Marco Polo Hotel
2)Osiris Ibiza
3)Hostal Florencio
4)Club Stella Maris Hotel

All hotel are in San Antonio

What would you guys recommend?

Stayed in Club Stella Maris for our Sept jaunt last year - no complaints - good little place... rather quiet, a few families around but no screaming horrible kids, (but that could be as it was end of season) the majority of the guests were German, the place was clean, great views for the sunsets, food was ok (dont think I ate much tho other than snacks)
great swimming pools, internet access, pool tables, tennis courts, crazy golf, shops, diving, oh and a nightclub!!!!

Bus stop outside the complex for journeys into San An and beyond.....

They didnt seem to mind us playing pool at 4.00am in the morning either... 8O

If I wasnt staying in a villa again this year - I would consider staying here again......
