ibiza clubbing au naturel?

Whilst being careful not to make any specific references that might upset the moderators, I just wondered if anyone on here had ever done a clubbing holiday in Ibiza without consuming any of the bad stuff that keeps you awake all night.

Anyone? If so how was it? Miserable or you had a good time anyway buying vodka red bulls for an absolute fortune?

I'm reluctantly thinking of trying this approach.... :?

I occasionally go out without taking anything - I tend to get tired at around 6, but I'm much more affected by the music and drunkenness.

I tend to get pretty drunk (which is probably quite annoying for those around me) and if the music is good can keep going for ages. Sitting down = bad.

If the music is bad I kinda lose it.

It's different in ibiza though because you start a lot later - 2am or so, whilst in the UK a club is routinely going off by 1 or 1.30.

I've done a few trips to Ibiza in the last few years and NEVER have anything other than alcohol..........and I've been known to dance in Pacha for 6 straight hours till 8am! 8O

I usually have a few drinks before hitting the nightclubs but not to the point of being drunk. In the nightclubs I normally have maybe one drink per hour or so just to quench my thirst.

I get high on the music. ;) :p

ive indulged a lot when out clubbing......... but i've also gone out until 7 am with only water... its not hard to do... it actually makes going out every night AND enjoying the beaches / sightseeing throughout the day easier. I don't really drink in ibiza... too expensive

When I first read the title to the thread, I thought you were going to go clubbing naked!!!!
Phew... glad I'm not the only one!
(btw, hello there Washingtonian! :D)

Course you can go clubbing without any of the bad things. It's pathetic and really annoys me if you think people can't. If the music is good I can rave for 36 hours no problems, as can alot of people in Ibiza. Sometimes, especially in Ibiza it does seem everyone is getting special aid from somewhere or another doesn't mean everyone is, or should you. I even have a bit of a superiority complex when thinking I'm raving just as hard and as long as people using 8). Only problems come when it's day after day of raving and drinking, drink 2 litres of water at the end of every night and every time you wake up and it's happy days.

And as regards to buying Vodka Red Bulls for a fortune. Fudge that, I've never bought a drink in a club, and don't go crazy doing it in England. It's all about pre - drinking on the cheap, much more fun too. In Ibiza just go to the offy in PDB and sit on the beach outside Bora Bora, listening to free tunes and getting on a level. Poi - fect. Or head up skank hole and get smashed for 10 Euro. Either way is fun and cheap. :D

I've gone 48hrs+ only drinking in moderation and pacing myself with no sleep at all and I know many others who do it aswell sometimes, its really not that hard at all as long as the music is good, once you've done certain "things" in the past it can become psychological and the music and crowd can bring that feeling back with no other "dance aids" needed, either that or I've stayed tripped out lol

Good man you def are in the know, thats the way we tend to do it too :D

"Botellon" is the way to do it in these parts, I'm not exactly sure what the name is for it in english but its when loads of people gather up in the car park or on the beach with massive amounts of shop bought alchool before going to the pre-club bars and clubs, its practically tradition to have the "botellon" in Spain 8)

Well, I never knew what they called it but 'Botellon' is where its at.

I've had some lovely times sat on PDB beach clutching a cheese roll and a few Estrellas :) - just soaking in the sun knowing I'm off to Space when I've downed the booze.

And there is nothing like the buzz you get from waking up in your apartment on a Sunday morning, going to the fridge and breaking out the Hierbas and San Mig to go with the cornflakes without peple tutting and calling Alcoholics Anonymous.
